JUNK
Don’t waste your money.
pad synth
just bought this budel since the new update the auv3 doesnt function in garageband
Lush is the word
I've got this working in Audiobus 3, with both a Korg nanoKey Studio as a bluetooth MIDI controller and Korg Gadget's "Taipei" gadget as a MIDI sequencer.
The presets are a nice start, but the real fun is tinkering with the controls to craft your own sound. The user interface looks like a mock-up done in Paper by FiftyThree, but that makes it simple and easy to learn.

Wow. That was misleading
I bought pads because there were two other apps supposedly going to be included for 7.99.
Please don’t steer people one way and cut their frikkin head off when you get them in an alley. “Also included in” my donkey.

Hmmm...
Not the best sounding synth. In fact, as far as I can hear, this synth only makes one sound; the presets are just slight variations of that sound. The lack of control may be a factor.
Come on Klevgränd, you can do better than this.

No bad but missing things
Sound cool, not very versatile but it has its moments. Some things there are missing for me at least, are more midi parameters that let you select what midi channel it accepts from incoming controllers and background audio. Not being able to play it in the background is a big letdown.
So-so app with potential
The good: I love the design, the presets are musically useful, and it's simple to use. AU integration with Garage Band and other AU-aware apps. The noise sourced from a broken Hammond is pretty cool.
The bad: very limited functionality; 2 oscillators with 6 unmodifiable waveforms; no compatibility with Audiobus or Tabletop; no ability to save modified presets, AR vs ADSR, no effects beyond chorus. No MIDI assignment modification. For a pad synth, the sound seems a little thin.
The ugly: not much is ugly here; it's a visually pleasing UI, though the waveform selector is a little too small for fingers. But I do like the overall look and feel.
The verdict: would be a no-brainer and fairly priced at $1.99 or less. At $7.99, it's not a good value, but might fill in some niches in your app library.

Excellent
Love this AU, it brought magic to the first track I tried it on. YMMV
Old time String Synth
I'm using this as an old time string synth with a bit of multiband compression and multiple instances in AUM. Lovely
Lovely AU synth
Arriving by stealth, Pads is as clean and stylish as all apps from this developer. It's also easy to use, and sports a couple of clever twists enabling sounds that are often different - in a good way - to standard. The one thing it lacks is any connectivity. I would love to see Midi in and IAA added.

Sounds are unusable with other Apps
Does not tune to A440. Will sound terrible with other instruments.
No midi
Shoulda read the small print...
