Works well

Exactly what I thought it would be, and wanted. Allows you to save a page or image on a page. I think the quality of the saved image exceeds that of a regular screen capture. Allows basic editing of the image, also. Not an expensive app, and pay once only. I simply won’t pay for subscription apps, so was happy to give it a try, and wasn’t disappointed. Nice capture app.

Top App!

One of the most useful apps I have purchased. Very elegant and easy to use. Excellent!

Response from developer

WOW thank you for the awesome review. I’m so grateful and I’ve just submitted a new update with UI and functionality tweaks, so keep an eye out for that. Happy Grabbing :)

Does not work

I completed all steps and created bookmark but did not work or do anything to copy a page from digital newspaper as a PDF

Response from developer

Hi. This should be possible but you have to capture as an image first and then convert to PDF format, if you hit the send feedback button in the app and email me I will help you to achieve your aim.

Good but... please help me.

How can I remove small thumbnail window view after shot? It is distracting during reading and covers some text at left bottom.
Please help me.

Poor quality capture

Capturing is pretty straight forward and fast, but the result image has poor quality and low resolution. I can’t use it. Requesting a refund with Apple.

Best for hard to grab pages

I use this a lot to grab a page I'm viewing in Google books, which is a projection that otherwise can't be recorded. You have to paste and copy the URL into the app though.

Response from developer

Hi Lukunor, thank you for taking the time to review, it means a lot to me that people take the time to share their thoughts and concerns, either positive or negative as they show us which way we need to go, there is an easier way than copy n paste the URL. If you go to the help pages and follow the instructions for "Install in Safari" once you have completed the instruction tutorial you will have a Bookmark in safari (or other browsers like Chrome) called Capture with Page Grab when you tap this bookmark it opens Page Grab app and imports the page you were viewing ready to be grabbed. But please remember Page Grab app needs to be open and running in the background for this to work or your could just do it twice if the app was closed the first time. Thanks Again for the review and and being a loyal customer, I hope you enjoy our recent update as much as the previous one. All the best from GC-Development Team

Piece of sh**

Snipping tool, how hard is it to replicate.......

Good but needs improvement

In general, it works fine. However, I feel it requires few improvements. There were few problems I faced using this app: First, it doesn't allow me to save pages as PDF. I've tried to use this feature on multiple occasions but to no avail. Second, when the pages are too long, it doesn't save the screenshot page into my photo album. Third, this is just a minor inconvenience- when I use bookmark feature to open the app, it brings me to the home page instead of the page I opened the app with. I wish the developers would consider these points for next update. Other than above-mentioned problems, the quality of the screenshot pages is good.

Hi solarthrottle Firstly thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts of Page Grab with us, as you can learn just as much from a negative review as a positive one but let me see if I can help you get the most out of page grab as possible so lets start with your first concern which is convert to PDF PDF Conversion: So when you click convert to PDF an alert pops up telling you the name of the file for example "google.pdf" it takes the name from the title of the page you captured and stored it in the apps "documents folder" now depending on device to get to the document folder: On iPad There should be a button that looks like a folder in the bottom toolbar. On iPhone/iPod The share button which looks like a square with an arrow pointing upward which is also in the bottom toolbar, this opens a menu with a few options and select "Document Folder" then you should see a list of all the PDF's or other images you have saved there. Large images and camera roll: I have just tested this on the latest version of page grab with the longest page i could find and it saved ok to the camera roll, however I did notice that a few iOS updates ago some strange behaviour with the photos app crashing and I eventually figured out that it was due to having very long and very large (100MB+) images in there that I had captured with Page Grab and I had to delete them all on my Mac to make the photos app work again but I believe Apple have now fixed this bug. So I would try this feature again on version 2.3 to see if the issue is still there and if so please let me know and I'll check it out further (contact info should be on this page). Bookmarklet: Yes this is a little bug, but as with all bugs there is always a workaround, Page Grab needs to be open and running in the background for this feature to work so you could either tap the Bookmarklet once which will open page grab then go back to your browser and tap it again to bring the page or open Page Grab then tap the bookmarklet. This seems to be because if PG app is closed it doesn't receive the page URL correctly but I will add this to the list of things to look in to fixing and if now I'll add it to the bookmarklet instructions in the help section so it is clear for our users. Sorry for the rambling reply, I just thought is you took the time to write an honest review, then the least I could do was reply in kind. Thanks again for the review and I hope you continue to enjoy using our apps 😀. GC

Freezes like the Arctic in August

Constantly closes requiring the user to restart the application and again search for the lost program and specific page. It is also very inflexible during the short periods that it is actually working. It is a great idea and it will be a great app if they can get work properly in iOS.

Response from developer

Hi. I know it’s been an ice age since your review but developers couldn’t reply back then. We did have issues with an iOS version that caused a memory leak and as a result crashed the app..... Since then the issue was fixed but I whilst we waited on that I added a second capture method you can use by a long-press on the grab button, I did make the fix but I failed to let users know it was there. I hope it’s thawed out and working well now. Thanks :)

Great Photo Capture App

Allows you grab a photo or the entire screen and edit or save to edit later. Works wonderfully!

Response from developer

Doesn't Work!

This app keeps crashing. Does not work as it should. Good idea if it would work.

Great app

This app does exactly what it says, simply and easily. It captures the page. You would think there would be many apps in the App Store that would offer this relatively straightforward functionality but I had a tough time finding one until I stumbled across this one.
I forget whether or not I paid for it, but I would pay $10-15 dollars for it. It worked for me when I really needed it by capturing the contents of the page so that I could send it to support staff for a company to resolve an issue I was having. They needed to see the screen and I used this app, and it worked. I also use it to study by capturing charts and tables I have to memorize. It's quicker, in some cases, than using an index card program. A great app!

Great app

Very easy to use
Can keep all your pics saved in full resolution and easy to capture web pages

Great capture app

This is the best I've seen and I use it 20-30 times a day. Takes a snapshot without scrolling and captures in jpg saving space, especially for large sites where png might be too large.

Love it!

Better, but lots of trial and error

Can "grab," save, and email photos on web sites, but instructions are vague, so lots of trial and error.

Reste à l'amélioration !

Quand on coupe l'image que la page internet a donné on perd la qualité l'image devient alors brouillé illisible donc c'est de la marde cette application.

Great -- when it works

More often than not, this app crashes when I try to capture a long web page -- very frustrating! When it does save the image, though, it does a good job of preserving a good-quality shot of it.

Urgent need for improvement

Good idea but

1-) When you save a long web page, the fonction crop is ridiculous (really too small) to see what you do.

2-) I dont understand how apple accept an application on the store with so many crash?

My top choice

Good looking, reliable and packed with features - Page Grab is a winner

I particularly love the"crop view" feature and use it all the time

Great update five stars again

This is a great update, I love the new crop window and I'm sure it is better quality after the crop. Again this is my must have app

Defiantly Five Stars, Thank You!!
