honestly the best thing ever

this one is for the yappers & thinkers, for quest enthusiasts and people who generally like to challenge themselves while reading. it is immensely fun to browse the forums of a book, comment & discuss them, get recommendations via emoji and see your statistics. obsessed with the look of the app & website, spend more time on pagebound than on social media on some days :D

Great little app

I honestly adore this app. I use to just use good reads but this app was sooo thoughtfully made I just kept going back to it. I like how specific it is with tracking the books you’ve read and (the best part) I’ve gotten great book recommendations from other users for super specific things I was looking for. I love this damn app.

It has a lot of features that can be a bit much to keep track of but once u get the hang of it it’s so nice to use.

Better than goodreads

Love the forum feature, it’s so fun to see what other readers say at different stages of reading the book and being able to discuss as you’re reading instead of only having reviews. The rating system is also cool with the different categories to rate so you can get a more nuanced idea of the books strengths. Plus the whole interface is cute and aesthetic! I’ve been looking for a new book tracking app so I can switch over from goodreads and I finally found the one!

Love this app & it doesn’t use AI

Finally - A Goodreads Replacement

This book tracking app is the best! I’ve been looking for a Goodreads replacement for literal years, and Pagebound has done it. The interface is cute, the tracking options are versatile, and the app is actually social. I love how active the forums are. Plus, the cute badges for quests are a fun game-ified element. Highly recommend!

FAQ

What does Pagebound do?

Pagebound is a social book tracking app that combines internet forums with reading progress tracking. It allows users to discuss books as they read them in dedicated forums for each title, earn points and badges for their reading activity, and organize their personal library.

How does the social reading feature work?

Users can post their thoughts, theories, and reactions to a specific book's forum. Posts can be sorted by reading progress, allowing users to read along with others globally. Anyone with the book in their library can see and interact with these posts, facilitating discussions and connections with other readers.

Is Pagebound free to use?

The app is free to download and use, with options for in-app purchases. This allows users to access core features without upfront cost, while offering additional value through optional purchases.

What kind of books can I track and discuss?

You can track and discuss any book you add to your library. The app supports organizing your 'to-be-read' list, rating books with detailed sub-ratings, and marking books as 'paused' or 'did not finish'.

How does Pagebound connect readers?

It connects readers based on shared literary tastes and discussion content, rather than follower counts or visual profiles. The platform emphasizes anonymous profiles and no algorithms to foster genuine connections around shared reading experiences.
