PageMark Local is a one-time paid browser extension for saving the exact web passages you choose to keep. Select text on a webpage, open the extension, choose a highlight color, add an optional note, and save the mark locally. Return to the page to see the highlight again, review recent marks for the current page, remove marks you no longer need, or copy your local mark library as Markdown. PageMark Local is built for research, tutorials, product comparisons, long reads, documentation, and any workflow where the source quote and the reason it matters should stay together. The extension stores only the fragment you explicitly save, plus its optional note, page title, page URL, color, and creation time. It does not save untouched page content, passwords, form fields, or general browsing history. The host app includes a local practice workspace, searchable sample library, Markdown preview, privacy boundary, and extension-state check. No developer-server upload. Websites can change their page structure, and some protected browser pages do not permit extensions to run.
