What's New in Pain Logger

3.4.0

July 12, 2026

Enhancements: - You can now add a badge while entering an entry, before you could only do this by going to the manage entries screen - The mini-graph on the list view and single pain area view, now better represents when the entry was made - In settings we now show the app version number, to help with customer support - Added many more badge options - Added interstitial ads (we got to pay for this somehow). They should only show up ever so often so as not to be too annoying Bugs fixed: - Fixed issue where the help screen was always showing for the main view upon launch regardless of the "Show help" setting - Fixed issue where the "Show graph" option was always disabled in the pain entry view - Lots of rework on badges to make them more visible and deal with contrast issues in both light and dark mode.

User reviews

The worst

A paid app that still bombards you with ads. The help screens pop up every time you use it. Interface is horrible. Other reviews must be fake. Do not buy.

Response from developer

Since this version we have made many changes. Ads have been toned down for the free version, the premium in-app purchase turns these off. The help screen popups (when launched) can be turned off in settings, and we have updated the interface to be more streamlined. We have never paid for reviews fake or otherwise.

Watch out when you upgrade

Used it for three weeks and it worked well so I decided to upgrade. It erased all my previous data and notes with no warning. Sheesh!

Response from developer

In this version we had some syncing problems. The latest version uses industry standard storage both on the client and in a user's iCloud account, so this problem should not occur again.

Ok, but not finished?

Still not fixed, despite updates. There is still a problem switching between pain areas. It still gets stuck on a single area and refuses to load the next one. This is causing problems for report generation.

Yes, it tracks entries, but there's a major problem. It won't allow you to switch between areas to enter scores. It stays stuck on one area.
Not sure what the point of multiple tracking options is if you can't switch between them to enter the information.
There's little point in showing a pretty graph, since you can't actually plot all the different pain levels because it refuses to switch over to the next entry area.
Rather disappointing, since it looked like exactly what was needed.
Waiting for update to fix that. Shouldn't be needed.

Great and simple to use

Great

Awesome Tool

I wish I didn't need this app, but given my current situation this app has been a life saver. It sure beats pencil and paper and I love the ease of use. It's a lot easier to print a graph chart showing the pain levels that I have logged for the last two weeks to show doctor than try to explain the extent of the pain. I also tend to "sugar coat" the true extent of my pain due to my optimistic personality and the app gives a truer picture of. My situation. I can also easily email the notes to anyone and they are in a easy to read PDF document. You wont regret buying this app!

Thank you for the feedback. This description is a true representation of the intention and function of the app and was the original reason we built it in the first place.
