About
PainTrace is a privacy-first facial change monitoring app for guided check-ins, personal baseline comparison, and careful similarity scoring.
The app helps you capture a guided face photo or short check-in, review capture quality, and compare current facial features against your own stored baseline patterns first. A bundled local pain-expression vector library can provide secondary similarity bands when available.
PainTrace is not a diagnosis app. It does not confirm pain level, disease, mental health status, Bell's palsy, depression, or any medical condition. Results are presented as non-diagnostic markers, including visible facial anomaly score, pain-expression similarity band, personal baseline deviation, confidence score, trend direction, and contributing factors.
Core features:
- Guided face check-ins with capture quality indicators
- Personal baseline builder for neutral and repeatable face captures
- Baseline-first comparison before population-style similarity
- Local pain-expression similarity library
- Explainable result cards with confidence limitations
- Optional context tags without open-ended questioning
- History, trends, and local report export
- Privacy controls for raw media and derived feature storage
Privacy approach:
- Local-first by design
- No account required
- No advertising SDK
- No analytics SDK
- No server upload in this version
- User-controlled export of reports and data
PainTrace can be useful for adults who want a structured, private way to monitor visible facial changes over time and review non-diagnostic trend markers. Always seek urgent medical care for sudden facial drooping, trouble breathing, severe swelling, severe headache, chest pain, or other emergency symptoms.
Non-diagnostic informational output only.
