Fantastic!

I was born and raised in West Palm Beach so my roots run deep. I am thrilled to be able to stay on top of not only local news, but state, national, and world news; with the thorough reporting in the Palm Beach Post. Delivery is seamless, and if I am busy and can’t read an issue that day, it’s always available when I have the time. I’ve read many newspapers in my life, but none better than the Palm Beach Post

Was easier before....

Having the paper displayed as before was less clumsy. It is harder to page forward and up and down-the screen is very touchy and I often have to double back. I find that when 2 pages are shown, I will skip over when I don’t see a headline that catches my attention. And because it is noticeably smaller, I probably don’t see them clearly and skip ones I may have normally read. Is it because your ads are more obvious now that these changes were made?

I read three online papers and the Palm Beach Post works best.

The Digital version

I enjoy the digital version of the paper as I don’t have papers lying around if I can’t read them right away. But whether print or digital, the one issue/problem I find abominable is errors in the print! It’s unconscionable to me that a news organization can allow such errors in a publication. I find them too often as if no one is proofreading. That problem will always keep you from getting a five star review from me and if I could have voted 3 1/2 stars, I would have. I voted for for the digital convenience.

Great Paper

I delivered this paper as a boy, had actual paper delivered for years and now I electronically read the Post everyday. Always a good source for national, state and local news. I particularly like the sports section because it covers the Miami Dolphins.

Better than before

Easy to use much better needs some improvements

Palm Beach post app

I enjoy using the app rather than reading it online. much easier to use and navigate. on the weekends I still have the newspaper delivered to the house. i’m still a little old fashion like to have the paper in my hand. The overall performance of your writers and editor has always been outstanding.

Review of PB POST App

While I like having it online, there are glitches that remain unresolved.
Every time I open it I get a message saying there’s a problem, do I want to ‘Retry’. I click Yes & the message appears again. I click yes again & then ignore it.
Also, you should at least be able to update the online paper with breaking news. The major news in this app is a day or 2 old.

Newspaper

This is edited September 2022, and applies to the iPad running current software. Considering the software is basically the same as for iPhone, I do not know why the iPhone downloads work and the iPad does not!

…………………………………..
For days, I have been getting an error message saying that “there was an error downloading the edition.” Unfortunately this means that there are unreadable pages. While my review still applies, it is unacceptable that a fundamental problem goes unnoticed or at least unresolved for so long.

My earlier review: Over time this app has become more and more user friendly. I am glad to see that they continue to work to improve it. Palm Beach Post has very good reporting and a good range of views on the opinion pages. Its corporate owner maintains the local news devision which is very important.

Palm Beach Post

The stories are usually short enough to read quickly and keep me up on the world and what’s happening in Florida. Thank you to all the writers for the great news

Easy to Use

Love the Palm Beach Post app. Easy to find what I’m looking for and to share articles with friends. I like to highlight the article I’m reading because it gives me the whole piece so I don’t have to search.

Review

I love the app, the flexibility, the options and the overall presentation. I was disappointed when when you dropped Hocus Focus, changed the Sudoku difficulty from 1-5 and delayed the Sunday Jumble result to the following Sunday. Still deserves the 5 star rating.

Palm Beach Post E-edition

The app is okay, not great. It frequently doesn’t load the current edition of the paper and you have to search for it in the e-editions. Sometimes pages are missing from the edition. The games: crossword, word scramble & soduku are a waste of space because they can’t be played on a ereader. Having electronic games would be fantastic!

Palm Beach Post e-paper

Enjoy reading the paper on my iPad. Also enjoy the bonus editions. I also enjoy the options of emailing articles along with several of the other options. Keep up the good work.

Great way To view articles

The best part about this app is my ability to view articles when I am out of town. It is very great to be able to read the news of what’s going on in my hometown even when I am away.

Problem with loading paper

Almost every Sunday and occasionally on other days we can’t get the paper. A message says “no internet connection “, which is not true. We are able to get everything else on the computer and we have been in different cities and different homes. We have called about it. Usually, later in the day it will work.

We pay for home delivery

Although we pay for home delivery, today as on too many other days we either get no paper or it’s delivered late but only after we
call. Today we called twice. The first time we were promised a late
Delivery. The second call told us we’d get the paper tomorrow.
Will we? I have no faith in the promises made by this paper. The problem is we like the paper. But we don’t like the delivery issues.

App does help

The app does help when we don’t get our delivery in the morning. What is going on - 10
Days ago no delivery for a week! Now this is day 2 of no delivery. If the Poat wants to cancel the delivery option, please tell us so we can migrate to the Sun Sentinel!

Works for me

Seems I may be the only person finding this app works reliably. So far, two weeks in, I've only ever signed in once. Past that, I am really impressed with the general concept and presentation. You get to see the whole paper page if you request the print addition. The headlines are readable in this mode. Tapping on an article of interest will zoom in to a readable image. A second tap gets you back to the full page view. If the article continues on a different page, the link is provided, and sends you there. Options allow you to select the section you want to read. Because it has been working reliably for me, I am very satisfied with this app.

Post perfect

App is so easy to use. Articles read quickly. Enjoy reading Cerabino’s opinion pieces. Improved depth of national news. Always good local news. A total win.

No history

If you get interrupted/distracted while reading an article and the phone goes to sleep, the app refreshes and you lose the article you were reading and there is no way to find it again that I’m aware of. A search will only produce results for old articles/new ones excluded.
