Panchangam Daily

Panchangam is a daily Hindu almanac that works out the day's times for wherever you actually are, and explains each one in plain English. Open it in the morning and the whole day is there: the tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana with the time each one changes, sunrise and sunset, and a live reading of where the Sun and Moon are in the sky right now. Travel, and the times follow you. WHAT TODAY LOOKS LIKE • Tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, vara and masa • Sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset • Paksha, samvatsara and chandra rashi • Brahma Muhurta, Abhijit and Amritkalam — the good windows • Rahu Kaal, Yama Gandam, Gulika Kaal, Varjyam and Durmuhurtam — the ones to work around EVERYTHING IN THE ALMANAC • Good and bad hours (Choghadiya), and planet hours (Hora) • The best window (Abhijit Muhurta) and the hour before dawn (Brahma Muhurta) • The five awkward days (Panchak), Bhadra (Vishti Karana) and knotty birth stars (Ganda Mool) • Pushya days (Ravi Pushya, Guru Pushya) and things-go-right days (Sarvartha Siddhi, Amrit Siddhi) • Ekadashi, full moon and new moon (Purnima, Amavasya), Pradosh, Sankashti and Chaturthi • Eclipses, worked out for your own location • A month calendar and festival dates • Shortlists for picking a date: weddings (Vivah Muhurat), moving into a new home (Griha Pravesh), buying a vehicle YOUR STAR, AND YOUR FAMILY'S Save your date of birth, gothram, nakshatra and rasi, and your day is read from them — Tara Bala against today's star, Chandra Bala against today's moon sign — instead of the same paragraph everyone else is reading. Add your family, and each person's star and next star birthday is there on the home page, with relations named the way your language names them. Birth details stay on your phone, encrypted. They are backed up to your account only if you turn that on. COMPUTED, NOT COPIED The times come from a planetary ephemeris, calculated for your own latitude and longitude at the moment you ask. Nothing is copied from a printed table made for another city, which is why Rahu Kaal here will not be the same minute as Rahu Kaal three hundred miles away. WRITTEN FOR PEOPLE WHO WERE NEVER TAUGHT THIS Every page says what a thing is for before it says what it is called. The traditional name is kept, because that is what you will hear at home — but you do not need to know it to use the app. ONE PAYMENT, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION Today's panchangam and today's reading for your star are free to everyone. A single in-app purchase opens every other date, past or future, with your reading for any day ahead. It is yours for good — nothing renews, nothing expires, and it can be shared with your family through Family Sharing. Sign in with a code sent to your email, then with your fingerprint or face after that. Light and dark themes. No adverts and no trackers. Your profile and everything in it can be deleted from inside the app, whenever you want.
