Numbers and the calculator panel · Numbers have moved: tapping 123 now opens a new calculator panel, with the number pad in phone-keypad order and operators and parentheses down the side. Press equals to get the answer · With the number row gone, the full-width symbol page gives every symbol room to grow, so you no longer have to aim · The calculator panel carries its own punctuation column, so a comma or a period no longer means switching back · The at sign now lives in the calculator panel, one tap away, and jumps back to Zhuyin once entered, so mentions take no round trip; its half-width symbol page spot is unchanged Key feel · Haptics, key clicks, and the pressed highlight now fire the instant your finger lands, the way the system keyboard does. The slight, uneven lag they used to have is gone Keyboard layout · Bottom-row function keys now mirror the system Zhuyin keyboard's widths, and on iPad a key no longer changes size as you switch keyboards · The return key's icon and enabled state now follow the field, matching system Zhuyin: search fields show a search icon and light up once there is text. It also now lights up while typing in English · The delete key's position is now yours to pick: bottom row by default, or the lower-right corner of the key area (Settings, Key Arrangement) · In portrait, the Zhuyin keyboard's keys now line up with the English and symbol panels, and the candidate bar is shown in full · Initial-consonant hints can now sit around the key edges instead of below the main glyph, each pointing the way you flick for it (Settings, Key Arrangement) · Fixed the keyboard not recalculating its height and key sizes when an iPad is rotated mid-typing; it used to need dismissing and reopening Zhuyin input · Words such as 食物 (food) or 是我 (it's me) can now be found without tones. Typed toneless, they collapse into one syllable and never made the list; the keyboard now adds the other reading as extra candidates after the usual ones, never first · The extras stay while you type on, and custom words with such readings are found without tones too Settings · Settings now match the system keyboard settings: long subtitles removed, choices made in a subpage with a checkmark, and rows that no longer shift as you flip switches · Visual settings are now picture choices, and the Taigi switching guide and glide demo are illustrated cards you can open any time, not just once at first launch · Custom words, punctuation, and themes are gathered under Custom Content, and every reset sits on its own at the bottom, out of the way · A new Typo Tolerance switch lets you turn off initial-consonant tolerance for Mandarin. Taigi tolerance is unaffected and stays on Themes · Four new featured themes: Raden, Specimen, Sakura Sugar, and Moss (Supporter subscription) · With 14 featured themes, the gallery gains a See All grid so you can take them in at once · Long-pressing a theme card now uses the system preview menu, with Apply right in the menu · Changing a custom theme's font weight now carries through to the small key glyphs, not just the main character. Their optical weight is also recalibrated, so they read slightly heavier across every theme Taigi · Taigi emoji vocabulary grew from 841 to 1471 entries, drawing on MOE dictionary definitions, PTS news, and academic terms · 129 verb-complement collocations joined the lexicon, so common spoken constructions come out right · Sentence-final particles now rank properly when they end a sentence · With Noto Serif applied, romanization marks in Taigi readings and lookup come from one matching font, so a word no longer changes face midway Also · Typing the word for blank or space now offers a full-width space; before, one gave only a placeholder glyph and the other nothing · Typing the word for degree now offers the degree sign and the Celsius sign directly · The delete key on the full-width symbol page also clears pending input on a left swipe, matching the Zhuyin keyboard
