Should have been a great time
I brought this out on New Year’s Eve to play with my gaming crew. What started out as excitement quickly turned to disappointment. We could tell this game would have been a grand time if it didn’t continuously crash. I made sure the software on my iPad was up to date and my do not disturb was off.
After having to restart a dozen times we quit. I am now trying to figure out what to do with this unusable game without a working app.

Sound does not work
As the title says. Basically unusable with no sound.
Game as a whole
I absolutely loved this game! Super fun, super immersive, and super cool! I felt like Batman working to solve all the puzzles! I absolutely love the take on the characters and the story, by far one of the coolest interactive Batman games of all time! I have no complaints about the product or game, it is 100% worth it and I am even sharing the game with my family to get them to play as well!! If they ever make a sequel I will 100% be buying without a second thought!
About the app, itself, it was a little buggy, when I screen shared it to my smart tv it would be super laggy about 50% of the time and sometimes just freeze on the tv. It also would heat up my phone and drain battery fast but what else do you expect with such an immersive experience like this! I never had any issues on my phone, it was just the screen mirroring, and it would usually clear up fast!
Like I said! 10/10! 100% recommend for everyone who likes escape rooms or anything of the sort, you don’t even have to be a Batman fan to enjoy it!!! It was definitely a challenge but there wasn’t a single thing I had to know(trivia or otherwise) about the DC universe, the knowledge just makes it that much cooler!!

Has potential but Crashes
Played at Gencon and was super excited to buy and play it. But the app crashes too much. Tried different devices and it still crashes. Please update and I will improve my rating. Our friends want to finish it but the crashing is annoying after a while.

Great box full of great puzzles (a couple stumbles toward the end), great items, ideas and great storytelling but this app must have crashed on me around 30 times. Also, I had to skip an entire puzzle simply because the app didn’t work for it. (Safe gears) Now I’ve got one more envelope to open but the app crashes right after the newscast video that starts before it saves the game. I’ve tried 6 times in a row. I guess it’s time to pack everything back in the box and probably never finish the game. Yay!

Escape room apps do the tech better
If you like technology and apps in your puzzles and escape room from home games, play anything from Rusty Lake. Way less trouble trying to get stuff to work right. This is a fun game with a good narrative and fun puzzles, but you can get all that in ways that don't put you through all the procedural trouble of having to set up all the stuff exactly right. The app crashed multiple times for each of us on all different devices and locations, and the only way this app's high ratings makes any sense is if they asked a lot of people they know to rate them five stars. The game was an attempt to be a little too ambitious. Again, it's fun, but there are way better ways to get the same types of puzzles and stories without all the trouble.

Perfect game for big groups!
Everything about this game is so immersive and engaging. I played with a big group and it felt like doing an escape room but in our own space. There are so many fun puzzles, cutscenes, and props that really enhance the story being told. I’ve never played a game like this before and it’s the most fun I’ve had with a new game in a long time!

App crashes every so often
Fun game so far.
We have complete nearly 2 parts out of 7 in 2 game nights.
Sadly we had to stop game night 1 due to the app crashing. The device battery was low and we had had the device connected to the TV for the couple of hrs that we play.
On the 2nd game night the app just crashed once or twice but we did not connect the ipad to the TV and and we turned the screen off while discussing the puzzles.
The story so far is not bad but what I liked the most is the fact that they have used maybe not the most famous villains (up. To the end of part 2/7) and they are exploring background stories.
Good so far.

Changing the way people game!
It’s a board game! It’s an interactive game. It is a multigenerational game experience! Fun no matter your knowledge of the subject or genre! Totally knocks it out of the park with how games and gaming should be done!

There’s nothing out there like this A/R game - Panic in Gotham City. Escape room meets augmented reality. Friends and Family have absolutely loved playing this game.
Definitely recommend!
I got it off of Kickstarter after a long wait and have been eager to play this thing for a while. The premise of an Escape Room type of thing at home could’ve been hard to nail, but man, they killed it. There’s nothing really like it and it’s difficult to describe. If this is the future of AR this is the first thing that’s sold me. I hope there will be more of these!

UNIQUE AR BOARD GAME
This is a SUPER fun family-friendly game that is kind of like an escape room in your house! The app works with a physical game box that you have to buy. The game has some really cool and unexpected augmented reality effects, and the puzzles are fun (and pretty challenging)! The story is like you’re in a comic book, and our whole family really loved it!
