Constant Flirting

I really like the concept of this app, since it helps me find friends with similar interests like mine. However, I have a pretty major problem with this app- or the people on it, anyway. This app is clearly only for friendships, yet I’ve had a lot of guys messaging me with flirty messages or asking me for pics of myself. It especially bothers me because I’ve stated on my profile that I was already in a relationship anyway. I even told one of the guys I’ve talked to millions of times that I was in a relationship, yet he kept flirting with me and asked me for a pic.

If this app is strictly for friendships only, I think the “no dating” rule should be enforced more, because it’s personally frustrating to have guys flirt with me without reading my profile carefully. But other than that, this app has potential.

We are well aware that our app is being used for purposes that don't align with our brand and have just released an update that requires all profiles to be reviewed before they are accepted into the app for this very purpose. We have also added a setting where you can turn off the ability to receive unsolicited messages from people of a specific gender so that you only engage with those you choose to reach out to first. We take this problem very seriously and are continuing to monitor this type of behavior. If you see potential in what we have created we'd appreciate it if you'd reconsider your 2-star rating. Panion did not delete my info after I deleted my account

Do not download this app. I deleted this app 4 years ago and they never deleted my account information. I’ve repeatedly emailed customer service and my account information was not deleted. I received an email earlier in the year that my account is going to be deactivated because it was flagged as a fake account do to inactivity. Again, I emailed customer service and told them I deleted my account many years ago and I want all my information deleted. In July I received an email talking about their new services offered. Again, I emailed them and said my account should have been deleted 4 years ago and to delete my account. Finally today 10/19/20 I received an email saying my account may have been compromised. You know the account I shouldn’t have thru them,
This company is incredibly shady and if you sign up with them you can’t trust what they will do with your information. You can trust that they will actually delete your account. Most important you can’t trust how they use your information. I’ve never wrote a review before. But based on my experience I feel like I should let people know about my experience. DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR INFORMATION!!

We appreciate your feedback. I am sorry to hear this has been your experience. When someone emails us asking to delete their data we take this very seriously and comply immediately. Our newsletter does not actually reflect whether you are still a user in the app. To stop receiving emails you simply need to unsubscribe from the bottom of the newsletter. We emailed you about a security breach to let you know that your data might have been compromised in the past. We do not still have your data if you have emailed us to remove your account. We are working with data security specialists to ensure full security and privacy for our customers as we consider this of the utmost importance. You can be assured that your data has been removed from all our servers. -Melanie

I love it, but...

I love this app, the only thing i wish is that the location wasn’t limited to only nearby. I think it would be cool to have to choice to meet people with similar interest around the world. There’s not too many apps where you can meet people around the globe that is similar to this app. It’ll be nice to choose certain countries or cities so when you do go to the country or city you already have someone as a friend, rather than having to be in the city or a nearby location to meet them first. Other than that, this app is amazing. 100% recommend! 😄

As soon as I get to the crop pictures part the app closes and I’m unable to open it back up.!

Essential App

In life, there are going to be times where you feel disconnected. It can be the result of alienation from people who were once close to you that you’ve outgrown, and you yearn to fill that void of companionship. It can stem from starting a new job or career where you look to develop new working relationships. This isolation can arise especially if you decide to relocate to a new city, state, or country. Panion is an excellent resource for overcoming the difficulties of rebuilding your social connections anew, and it is particularly essential for people starting a new life as an expat in a foreign place. This app team and its founder, Melanie Aronson, place value and priority in nurturing and fostering community, in all of its forms (they have adapted especially well to maintaining this business model in a post-COVID world). I would highly recommend Panion to anyone who is searching for new friendships, new relationships, and new beginnings.

Sometimes you just feel like doing something with someone, especially when you’re on your own or in a new place. And now, when stuck at home because of Corona. Panion provides new ways to interact with others!!

Surprisingly great!

I was skeptical that I would like this but it’s great. I had fun connecting with new people. I found the interface easy and I am not tech savvy.
Honestly, it’s such an easy was to make new friends with common interests. Who wouldn’t need more of that?

Perfect for the frequent traveler!

I travel a significant amount for work. Wherever I go, I try to make sure I get a ‘local’ experience - and make sure I get a sense of place. But my trips are short, and work is intense.

Panion allows me to connect with locals who give me a window into their world. I was recently in New Mexico, and through a friend I met on panion, was able to check out a local brewery with killer live music.

I can’t wait to show visitors to NYC all my spots!

Cannot change my name

I downloaded this app cause I just recently moved to another state, I used google to create my account but it defaulted to my google account name and didn’t even give me a queue to choose my name. It doesn’t let me change my name in the app without going through support and the “support” button doesn’t work. There are many other bugs, for instance, the sliders to choose your birthday would only show December for the month option and no years earlier than 2003. Overall, not that great unless those things get fixed more so the name thing then the rest.

Terrible app should have not been released

The app is so bad that nobody in his/her right mind should not have released it. This is what you call a total waste of time. The logic is faulty and also the people who you get connected to seem like they are bots. I would be happy to see this app go down.

I'm an artist and recently relocated to a new country, and this app was really helpful! Though I think it can have some improvements, it helped me find some great friends and visit galleries together.

Bugs galore

After waiting for months for them to fix the messaging bug, they finally update with a fix and now the app just quits right after opening on my iPhone X...

Unfortunately development is quite complicated and sometimes what seems like a small bug actually require more work than expected because of the shifting requirements from Apple and other 3rd party companies. At times you have to choose to release an update that fixes bugs for the majority of people while you continue to fix for the rest. Amazing!!!

I’m so glad there’s finally a common interests app that is not dating based! The interface is user friendly, and I have found so many interesting people! This app is amazing for something so new, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
