Please add Chicago!

This app is great, would love to see the Chicagoland region added

it used to be good

this app is great for us transit nerds but is slowly getting worse :( there’s a lot of legacy bugs, the developer is unresponsive about new bugs (and unresponsive in general), and when you submit info for new vehicles they don’t get updated. i know the developer is just 1 person and it’s a side project but some general communication around the state of the app would be good. the bugs are slowly growing and its making the app unusable.

Best but not perfect.

If you’re looking for a transit tracker this is by far the best ever, if your agency is supported. There are flaws though:
#1 Not all agencies are supported.
Many times this is simply because an agency doesn’t have GTFS data (tracking data) available but there are times where it just hasn’t been put on here.
#2 Not all vehicles have info.
Yes “Mr. Pantograph” is not everywhere all at once and probably has not been to all the places in the app, but the solution to this is supposed to be the email channel to send new information about this, but that is dependent on-
#3 UPDATES
I don’t know what “Mr. Pantograph” is doing, I’m not going to go out on whim and say they’re lazy or something, they might have moved on to more important things in their life. But then, why is it, that I am paying for Pantograph Pro and it seems like every year this app is slowly slowly getting more out of date and left behind? Abandoned? For instance, Lane Transit District in Eugene Oregon updated their GTFS data to a new link, the simple solution to this is to change the link to which the GTFS data is collected for Pantograph in the app, but that has not been done, meaning anyone with Pantograph in Eugene is just left in the dust, because some guy hasn’t got around to it.

I want to say Pantograph is amazing, and it is when it works. When it works it gives unmatched information in a very intuitive and simple package. I can say that at least initially there was a lot of passion and thought put into this. But now, it’s flawed. It’s sad to see such an amazing app go by the wayside, to end up half broken like so many passion projects. So close, yet so far.

This app is great BBBUUUTTTTT…

I love this app because it allows you to see all the buses around you (most of the time, however some agencies don’t support bus tracking) the thing that bugs me the most though is that sometimes when I enter the app, the map is completely empty.

Good

Good app but the app is always broken and takes weeks to get fixed

Dev suggestions

Do you mind making a live map no trial subscription and app for free and more

Not all agencies work.

The app description states Kitsap Transit is included, but that is not true.

Great app, but a couple of annoying bugs.

This app is absolutely fantastic and perfect for my needs as a transit enthusiast. It is consumer friendly, has a great UI, while also feeding me all the technical details such as block IDs and vehicle types. I noticed the app is really resource-intensive, which is understandable for an app that required graphics of this level. The only thing holding me from a 5-star review is a couple of bugs that I would REALLY like to be fixed. I recently got Pro and have been experiencing issues with Filters. Most times when I launch the app, there is a filter set for a set of lines, even though the setting to clear filters when app is quit is turned on. Thank you Panto team!

Great if the flaws aren’t important to you!

Basic functionality like removing a filter is not possible without paying for premium. UI/UX is kind of a disaster unless you pay.

Sometimes opening the app, no routes show so you have to re-launch

Other than that this app is great

Peace of mind!

I love this app! Most mornings when I catch the bus I’m running late. A quick check of Pantograph will tell me if I missed my bus or not. I think it’s very intuitive and easy to use.

Best transit agency system info app!

It’s a birds eye view of all the in-service buses and trains of many transit agencies with customizable icons that display the info you select, all tracked in real time. Search features, block schedules, stop time points. No other transit app comes close to offering the wealth of information made available here.

Much Better than Trip Planner and Maps But Still Not Perfect

This app is a great way to track your bus if you are a frequent bus rider because you can see exactly how early or late the bus is running. You can even toggle a color setting where blue is early, green is on time and red is late. Unfortunately you still cannot track Community Shuttles and DART vans.

So THAT’S where the bus is.

I loved the original web version of the transit tracker. This is nicely refined and responsive. Found the app’s announcement on the Seattle Transit Blog.

Thanks for your work, Kona!
