Game was good before reskin
Personally, I liked this game in earlier stages of development, the reskin killed the whole vibe for me. Theres also no hyperspace option like in the og asteroids. I’d love to grind this game more if it was more like the og asteroids, as most other options for playing an Atari asteroids clone are pretty bad.

This would have been perfect had you put it on for a fee. As it is it’s gonna get deleted

At the end of every game, there is an ad for another app that there is no way skip or get back to the home page for a new game.

How on earth do you apply thrust? Where’s the button or control?
Thanks for the reply, but on my 2020 iPad there is no thrust button in the bottom right hand side. Also the ship fires wherever I touch the screen, there is no fire button either!

Classic Fun with a Modern Twist

Fun but some things need fixing
Fun game but some things need fixing. 1) level restarts when you lose a life; it shouldn’t do this. 2) alien spaceship is a perfect shot, this is wrong, it should miss most of the time on the lower levels and get better at higher levels. 3) need hyperspace or sheild button.
Asteroids is very fun retro game
Asteroids is a fun game that brings retro arcade action to life! The gameplay is fade-paced and exciting, with smooth controls that make dodging and destroying asteroids feel rewarding.
Reminds me of Atari 2600
I used to play Astroids in the arcade and on the Atari 2600. While this doesn’t look exactly like those old games, it looks and acts enough like them to bring back the memories. This is pretty fun! The controls are easy. Good job, whoever made this!

I love the game and would gladly buy it if I had that option. I just hate the ads in between. Give me a no ads option!!!
Okay, but no option to remove ads
I edited this review after the developer fixed a bug where the game froze on an ad which made the game unplayable. I downloaded it again after the bug fix and think the game is actually alright. However, the game flow was interrupted by ads which kinda spoilt it for me, although at least they came on after I died rather than mid game. I'd much rather pay a couple of quid for uninterrupted gameplay so it's a shame there's no IAP to remove the ads. The game does have a nice retro feel to it though.

Thanks for bringing it back
The new version is playable if you are an old Asteroids fan like me who had to stand up. I wish you would have a leaderboard for the original you included in the package. Doesn’t mean I don’t like the retro. I’m close to top.

I'm unsure which controller you're referring to. The game employs on-screen virtual controls for navigating the player's spaceship. Furthermore, we encourage you to download and explore our latest version, as we've diligently addressed numerous bugs and incorporated substantial fixes.
Horrible!!
Does not have screen gestures like the older version that was available in the App Store for years. Can’t maneuver with the buttons and ships and asteroids are so big there’s no room to navigate. DO NOT PURCHASE.

Great retro game, but needs a little bit of work
This game, this game is probably one of the best retro games in the market, it really is a great game. To make it better, here are a couple of ideas that would make the game better: sizing of objects and sizing of spaceship. The reason why I say this is simply because there is not enough room to actually move around in the screen. If you could just update this a little, I would definitely rate this game 5 stars.
