Better reading on iPad • Search and Share are now one tap away in the PDF reader, with a new Go to Page command and thumbnails that follow your current page. • Reader Tools adapt to narrow Stage Manager windows without squeezing the document. • Reading progress is saved more reliably while you read and when the app moves to the background. • Apple Pencil drawing is more dependable, and exports include the latest saved ink. A more complete iPhone companion • Fresh installs now receive the Welcome Guide, while returning users see What’s New after an update. • Creating folders, tags, projects, Smart Collections, and notebooks now works reliably from every tab and takes you directly to the new item. • Home avoids repeating the same paper, surfaces frequent reading and triage actions sooner, and keeps empty active projects visible. • Filters, dashboards, note rows, and onboarding adapt better to Dynamic Type and narrow screens. Safer notes and notebooks • Markdown formatting now recognizes bold and italic text anywhere inside a multi-word phrase. • Code and display-math commands wrap selected text, while tables and dividers no longer replace a selection. • Remote note images remain private until you choose to load them, with safer download and preview handling. • Notebook filing, links, sync, backup, and restore are more reliable, including notes filed on multiple notebooks. • Duplicate notebook names and notebooks in Trash are handled more clearly. More reliable libraries and projects • iCloud sync is more resilient to interrupted transfers, duplicate records, and changes arriving from several devices. • Folder badges, Smart Collections, Trash filtering, and note searches now exclude stale or deleted content correctly. • Switching papers no longer loses a recent author edit or leaves the new detail pane scrolled halfway down. • Project search refreshes when its papers or notes change, and exports always use a fresh folder so older files cannot leak into the new bundle. Plus many smaller accessibility, layout, export, and stability improvements.
