Rick kind of reminds me of a mix of Dean and Sam from Supernatural!
Paranormal Files: Not Worth
Sorry but the main story was WAY too short. The bonus game wasn’t much longer. The puzzles weren’t challenging and the animations looked clunky like the game came out 10 years ago. It’s like you couldn’t be bothered anymore. Did your contract run out or something? What a way to wrap up the series. Such a pity.

Not sure
To go from one scene to the next takes a tad too long. This has happened to a couple of games and sorry but it ruins for me if I have to sit there watching the elephant and it’s circle go round and round. Not sure I want to purchase a game like that at the present time. It needs sorting.
Paranormal Files 10: Counterpart by LynxMinx
I really enjoyed the addictive and unusual gameplay and inventory usage. However, there were elements of the game that I did not like: the cartooonish cut-scenes, the developer’s poor grasp of the English language, having to read so many confusing notes and dialogue, the interminable load times between locations, and searching for those extremely minute eyes. The alternate universe storyline was original and unique, but it was unclear at times. Still and all, there was a decent mix of HO scenes and mini-games, and although many were my least favorite (rotational), somehow I managed to complete most of them. The problem was that even after the update, some of the mini-games, especially in the bonus adventure, were impossible to manipulate and there were touchscreen sensitivity issues. I may not have loved this game as much as previous installments but I liked it, despite the glitches. Yet, due to such poor quality assurance, my final rating will be 3 stars.

I just downloaded the game and already it shows black screen. I deleted it a couple of times and still black blank screen big disappointment.

I loved this Game, lovely graphics and story. I love hunting for the “Eyes”, in each of the Scenes.
Better than expected
Like many of the other players posting reviews, I always wait several months for the bugs to be shaken out before I play a new Elephant game. This one shaped up pretty good. It’s not perfect but that’s usually the case in the best of circumstances. I thought the story was pretty well thought out — there weren’t a lot of continuity errors and we did finally get our Rick back. I hope we’ll see more Paranormal Files games in the future. I will add I fully expected, since Anna Gray showed up, that the grandmaster would turn out to be her father Richard. Sorry to say I was wrong. That would’ve been a fun connection.

Good but
The game searches for over a minute between scenes, when switching to another area it just freezes and I have to again wait until it restarts.
Long loading times
I’m enjoying the puzzles and game, but the long loading time between scenes is rather puzzling. I was used to long loading times a few years ago, but not now with advances in technology. It just is an annoyance.

I’m changing rating from one to three stars
I initially rated a 1 star because it just stopped working very soon into the game I’d paid for. They finally fixed it and I was able to complete. I’m glad that the gameplay seems to be a return to their superior early games. It was, however, very short. When I buy a game I expect it to be around the same length as the previous ones. I am, like I said, happy to see they’re giving a little more effort. Let’s hope they keep it up because Elephant went from being the best iOS hidden object adventure developer to the worst overnight. Because let’s face it, domini games blow. Repetitive, really dumb mini games, just a bore altogether. And now domini has taken to releasing “episodes” that are tiny bits at very high prices. Stupid. So, if elephant can keep up good work and improve - the iOS market is all theirs.

Fatal error
Update 1l4/24 - this game still cannot be completed. The developer has asked for an email - well, I have sent an email regarding this issue, and gave not had a reply, nor have they done anything about fixing this game. I have reset the bonus chapter and the same issue occurs. I suggest asking for a refund for this game. It is obviously unplayable.
The game freezes in the bonus play where the object is to sort the files on the catalog page. Unable to complete the game after restarting repeatedly.

GLITCH
Can’t advance past the hidden object game in the house as the game refuses to let you place the last photo on the desk. You have been warned all potential buyers. Developers - don’t sell things that are broken. You need to fix asap. I will amend my review and rating thereafter.
UPDATE: I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it worked flawlessly. I like this series and enjoyed the game although it could have been longer. I also thought the reunion was underplayed given that Rick had been missing for 14 years! Also, Rick’s doppelgänger sure made a quick turnaround, which felt a little weird.

Just finished the free trial. I always look forward to these games. Game is pretty good and engaging except for some serious lagging issues between scenes and some issues with picking up objects. Having to click on it a few times. I will still be buying the full game though.
