Paris Fraîcheur maps the cool spots of Paris — parks, gardens and squares where you can cool down — on a fast full-screen map, and guides you to the coolest one near you. Every green space is ranked by its shade (share of high vegetation), based on the APUR study of the Paris tree canopy: • Cool — heavily shaded (over 50% high vegetation) • Moderate — partly shaded (25–50%) • Hot — very exposed to the sun (under 25%) At night, every park and garden becomes a cool island: the app shows which ones are open 24/7, on summer nights, or during heatwave alerts (level 3 of the heat plan).
