About

Get fined because you forgot to pay for parking? It happens to everyone. Parking Parrot reminds you to start paying — and to stop when you leave. You park, get out of the car, and your phone buzzes: "Don't forget to pay for parking!" No buttons to press, no timers to set. The app notices when you stop driving. It also reminds you when you drive away, so you can stop a running parking session and avoid overpaying. WORKS ANYWHERE — YOU SET THE RULES Parking Parrot has no built-in city database and doesn't know local prices. Instead, YOU tell it your own rules: which hours are paid, which days are free, and which places to ignore. That's why it works in any country — you adapt it to your city. HOW IT WORKS It uses your phone's motion and location sensors to detect when a drive ends. After a short wait — so a red light or a traffic jam doesn't trigger it — it reminds you. PAY BY SMS — IF YOUR CITY USES IT Many cities let you pay for parking by text message. Parking Parrot can prepare that SMS for you: set up your provider's number and message format once, and the app fills in the zone, your plate, and the duration. It even remembers which zone you used at each spot and suggests it next time. IMPORTANT: you always send the message yourself, from your own phone — the app never sends anything on its own, so you stay in control and nothing costs money without your tap. Fully available in 21 languages. WHAT YOU CAN SET UP • Exclusion zones — you mark places where the app should stay quiet (home, office, garage). Nothing is preset; you add your own. • Paid and free days — you fill in a calendar for weekends, holidays, and your city's rules. • Paid hours within a day — you set when parking costs money. Outside those hours the app sleeps and saves battery. • SMS templates — save how your city expects the parking message, so it's ready when you park. • Adjustable wait time — longer wait means fewer false alerts. • Choose your alarm sound and length. FREE TO USE — AND CHEAP BY DESIGN The basic parking reminder is free. Because the app uses no paid data services and buys no parking database — you set the rules yourself — there are almost no running costs, so it can stay this affordable. A single small one-time in-app purchase unlocks the extra features (exclusion zones, custom hours, alarm modes, the paid/free-day calendar). No subscription. PRIVACY Everything stays on your phone. No accounts, no servers, no tracking. Your parking history is yours alone and is deleted when you remove the app. 21 LANGUAGES English, Hungarian, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Swedish, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Bengali, Indonesian, Japanese, Chinese. IMPORTANT Automatic detection depends on your phone's sensors, which are not perfect. Sending the parking SMS is always your own action, and whether a parking fee applies — and paying it — is always your responsibility. Parking Parrot is only a helpful reminder that you configure yourself — not a guarantee and not a source of local parking information.
