Crashing!

Every time I hit menu to adjust binyan and other settings like I used to, the app just crashes!

Disappointed

What’s a disappointed! When pressed menu, automatically closed the app. I feel not worth for $4. It’s really disappointing.

greatly Helpful, but would like a vocab element

The parsing help delivers on its promise. My request would be when the answers are revealed, one could see the translated meaning of the stem, so the practice could double as vocab help. Good work, we need more people making apps like these and putting in the effort. May God bless it.

Pretty good, wish it had gloss

An English gloss would be a feature I would pay for.

Needs Translation

Really great for parsing but it would be very helpful if it had translations.

Perfect!

I got Parse it a few days ago and it is perfect for me. I’m too lazy and always refer to a verb chart. This is the best stimulus for me to learn the verb parts at my own pace, increasing difficulty (and changing the mix of what verbs I’m learning) as I develop.

I imagined what kind of app would help me, and . . . There it was, waiting for me in the Apple store!

Developer

I would like to know HOW I can gain access to “the other” verbs in this app.
There is no contact details for developer.....

Amazing App

I love this app. It is so amazing for learning Hebrew because parsing is vital!!!! I had some trouble because of a setting on my phone and the develop got back immediately.

Edited to add. A year later I still love this app!!

Perfect for students

Great for paradigm practice on the go. A better use of time than social media!

Exactly what I needed

This app does exactly what I needed it to do, it gives me random verbs from all different stems with all types of diagnostics and gives me the chance to test myself to see how well I know the nuances of each verb form. This app has already helped me so much in preparation for Hebrew exams!

A couple things I wish it did that aren’t a big deal but would be cool features: 1) I wish you could go back, if you tap too fast you sometimes lose the ability to look up a word that may be confusing, 2) it would be nice if you could choose to add pronominal suffixes. My exams have those on occasion and it would be nice to practice those.

I also did have an issue that was solved via a setting on my iPhone and the developer helped me address that issue.

This app is awesome and worth the $!

Doesn’t really help me

I purchased this to help me learn to parse verbs for a biblical Hebrew class I’m taking, but it doesn’t help. Just giving me random verbs to see is useless to me. If there was a search feature, or even if the verbs included a translation, it would be better. Disappointed. UPDATE: the developer has been incredibly nice about seeking feedback on how the app could be updated. I’m changing my rating just for that, and the fact that it isn’t the apps fault it doesn’t do what I want. It is what it is. Oy gevalt!

In response to janhenley

I am a personal friend of the developer and I am sorry to hear from janhenley that the user’s experience has been negative.

It seems to me that janhenley has misunderstood the purpose of the app. The app is for practicing how to parse Hebrew verbs (by quizing the user on random verbs from different stems) rather than providing alternative forms of any given verb input by the user. I believe the app information page is quite clear on that.

I am sorry to hear about the inability to contact the developer and I will try to get in touch with him to ensure janhenley will receive a reply. The developer has been very unwell and has only recovered until recently. I am sure he will be in touch as soon as he can.

The developer created this app when he was a student from Oak Hill College student, and the app has received endorsement from the Hebrew lecturer back then. I have no idea whether that is still the situation now, but I know back then the Oak Hill College Faculty was supportive of this app.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

This app is useless

I downloaded this app thinking as the info suggests that I could have help parsing Hebrew verbs. It turns out to be a random list of verbs that you could find easily in any hebrew grammar text book. You can’t input a verb to parse it’s totally useless and for the price of £4.99 it’s quite frankly a rip off. I tried to get a refund from the guy who wrote the app and there is no response at all. Do not buy this app this is better free stuff out there. I can’t think why anyone would want to buy it. It also seems to use oak hill college to validate its worth but they know nothing about it. I wouldn’t even give it one star but I can’t post a review without it

Parse It

Good app for practice at parsing the Hebrew but crucially doesn't tell you what the verb is in English! This is a real weakness and very disappointing. This simple addition would make a huge difference.

Just for practice: no help at all

No help if you see a verb when reading and want to parse it.. useless

So helpful for revision

Great app, wish I'd bought it sooner!

Limited use app

I bought this app and found it to be very poorly documented. Trying to use it is a like playing a guessing game on what and where to tap on the screen.

Author should provide guidance on how to efficiently use the product. Product should be free for what you get

Very good app

Very good to help you master Hebrew parsing.
It would be even better if it had a Test feature that allowed you to take tests and monitor your progress.

Great Concept, Needs Work

The idea and functionality of this app are great, but unfortunately it generates many verb forms that are simply grammatically impossible (such as pual imperatives, hufal infinitives and polal conjugations of בוא).

Parse it

I paid and downloaded apt; there is only one page. Something is wrong with apt or it is a fraud ! Right now it's -5 stars
