Don’t Bother
Response from developer
Hi Matthew, I looked into this properly. We did reply to your email, 33 minutes after you sent it, that same evening, asking what you were seeing so we could help. Worth checking your spam folder, because we never heard back. Here's what actually happened. Your album was set to close that evening, and once an album closes the camera stops accepting photos. Your guests scanned your code after that point and got a camera that wouldn't take a picture, with nothing on screen telling them why. Your QR code was fine, and so was everything you did with it. The version you were on let you set that closing time on a picker that only ever showed you the date afterwards, so there was no realistic way for you to catch it. We've changed that since. Albums now run to the end of the day you pick. None of that gives you your engagement party back. Reply to that support thread, or write to support@partycam.app, and we'll refund you and set your next event up ourselves.
I like it!
Nice and simple
Really cool app!
Perfect app for our event!
Love this app!
Purchase & Subscription Terms Unclear
Logic dictates that for a purchase that depends on how many people attend and use the service during the event that you would be charged the date of the event or shortly afterwards. But that’s not the case here. Instead, you enter an estimated amount of people that will use the app and you’re charged approximately 4 to 5 days after that. While the app indicates that you can change the amount of people even after the event, it makes it impossible to do so.
Now I’m being charged for a service that we’re not gonna use for the event and I am not certain if this is a one time charge or a subscription. The app itself does not show up on my subscriptions list so I hope that is an indicator that I won’t be charged again.
