About
Pass the Dice is Farkle — the game you might know as 10,000, Zilch or
Greed — for the people you already play it with.
Roll five dice. Keep what scores, roll the rest. Push your luck and the
turn grows; push it once too far and the whole thing is gone. First to
exactly 10,000 wins.
PLAYED THE WAY IT IS AT A KITCHEN TABLE
A bust costs you points, they go on the table's score, and the winner
takes the lot. The host sets what a bust costs before anyone rolls —
anything from nothing to 500.
KEEP SCORE ACROSS THE WHOLE NIGHT, OR JUST THE GAME
Points can carry over into a head-to-head total between you and everyone
you play, so you can see who is ahead over weeks rather than one game.
Either of you can reset it to zero whenever you like. Or switch it off
and the points stop when the game does.
TAKE YOUR TURN WHENEVER
No clock, no skipped turns. A game can last an evening or a fortnight.
You get a notification when it comes round to you.
PRIVATE TABLES ONLY
A friend invites you, or somebody hands you a six-character code. There
is no public matchmaking and you will never be put at a table with a
stranger.
OR PLAY THE COMPUTER
Three skill levels, so there is a table even when nobody else is about —
and you can tell it to slow down so you can watch what it did.
EVERY NIGHT ON THE RECORD
Standings across every game you have played, and a hall of fame for the
biggest turn, the worst bust, the fastest win and the biggest score.
