What's New in PaSSBot

2.0

September 16, 2024

A SEM filter implementation has been added offering BandPass, Lo+Hi and Notch type of filters. One can arbitrarily define the tuning scale root frequency. The standalone version of PaSSBot can now export and import preset bank files directly from its PaSSBot document folder, which is easily accessible with the iPAD Files app.

FAQ

What is PaSSBot?

PaSSBot is a unique stochastic filter bank audio processor designed for iPad. It allows users to manipulate audio with various filter types and advanced stochastic generators for complex sound design.

What filter types does PaSSBot offer?

PaSSBot includes Biquad, StateVariableFilter, Ladder, SEM, and Resonator filter types. These can be configured as bandpass, Lo + Hipass, or Notch, with up to 64 filters running in true stereo.

How does PaSSBot handle filter parameters?

Users can set individual filter parameters like center frequency, gain, and resonance. These can be elaborated with powerful stochastic generators, offering continuous or discrete probabilistic distributions, or standard waveforms.

What are the system requirements for PaSSBot?

A recent iPad model is recommended for optimal performance. Setting the host buffer size to 128 or higher is also advised to manage CPU usage, which depends on the number of parallel filters used.

Can PaSSBot filters run continuously?

Yes, the filters can run continuously or be triggered manually. When triggered manually, each filter applies an independent AR envelope with configurable random duration.

Is PaSSBot available on other platforms?

The desktop VST/AU version of PaSSBot was released in February 2020. This listing is for the iOS version, which is equivalent to the latest version 2.1.

How much does PaSSBot cost?

PaSSBot is a paid application, priced at $34.99. There are no in-app purchases or subscription options mentioned.

Does PaSSBot have ads?

No, PaSSBot does not contain advertisements. It is a premium application focused on providing a full audio processing experience without interruptions.
