Difficult to operate
Last 3 weeks, whenever I open the app, I get a notification “Unable to talk to our server at this time “.
Embarrassingly Poor Experience for a Government App
The Passport Seva app is one of the most frustrating apps I’ve ever used. It’s incredibly slow, constantly lags, and often becomes completely unresponsive. Basic features like dropdown menus frequently don’t work, making even simple tasks unnecessarily difficult.
To make matters worse, the app regularly displays “Server is down” errors, forcing users to try again and again. Unfortunately, the website isn’t any better—it suffers from the same sluggish performance and unresponsiveness.
This is a national passport service backed by the government. Citizens expect a reliable, stable, and efficient digital service, especially for something as important as passport applications. Instead, the experience feels outdated, poorly maintained, and unreliable.
A complete overhaul of both the app and the website is long overdue. This level of service is simply unacceptable for an essential public service.

Number of times I tried to login, it fails to open 10 out of 9 times. Very bad experience

The app is very good. Provides all useful information. I was able to file my re issue of passport and able to upload all relevant documents through digilocker. No hustle at PSK.

I tried using the Passport Seva app and it’s been an extremely frustrating experience. The app doesn’t even open properly most of the time, and when it does, it either crashes or fails to load basic features. It’s unreliable and clearly not maintained well.
For something as important as passport services, users expect at least a functional platform. Instead, this app wastes time and creates unnecessary stress. The interface is outdated, performance is poor, and there seems to be no proper support or fixes.
Honestly, this level of service is disappointing but sadly not surprising. Definitely needs major improvement before it can be considered usable

App issues
Dear developers
I am also iOS Developer so I am very upset because here is multiple issues is all screen like Otp screen and DOB enter open where you open number keyboard but how can I write/ and so many issues I can’t explain here

Connectivity
App just hanged mid application and won’t connect anymore. Keeps giving can’t connect to server error. With all the crores of funds govt pretends to spend on essential services, they can afford to keep servers up an functioning for critical services like passport seva.
Needs Serious Improvement
Very frustrating app. Login problems, keyboard doesn’t go away easily and I have to tap many times. The app gets stuck and doesn’t move forward sometimes. Needs serious improvement.

Now this application works very well , kudos to those developers. But i have a suggestion from my end , if there’s no security concern then please give us the option to link our passport in digilocker or umang.
Stuck’s with loading, have to relaunch to proceed
App gets stuck with loading on every attempt. It can happen at any page. It is frustrating as user need to re-start the flow from re-login and revisit in-between draft manually
Buggy
Can’t find trouble logging in button, while signing through top, the loader stops without giving any message as to what happened after entering password.
Needs a lot of improvement and seems to be missing some very basic testing.

I installed app and I tried to login with password and Otp both but after pressing login button it shows loading and then loading disappears but everything on the screen remains same, it doesn’t redirect to next page. I am stuck at login screen. Same issue in the website.
Worst and Poor performance
Have filled multiple times, but each time got error in last page then it’s start again from 0

From last week I am trying to schedule an appointment via making online payment however the UPI transaction is getting declined continuously and needed some assistance in this problem

App not working at all during register otp not received, without otp login I’d is register and not available for sign up not even login/register is possible, what is the use of this app?

Improve document advisor
Consider scenario when applicant has applied for re-issue of his expired passport within 3 years of expiry.
For this reissue address got changed and marital status also got changed from unmarried to married. So applicant added name of spouse in application.
Now, considering above inputs, when someone check in document advisor for list of documents, it will not show that marriage certificate will require.
After reaching at PSK, applicant has to suffer by seeing that marriage certificate is also required. However, he has already checked before coming to PSK for appointment in document advisor and still without his fault. He has to suffer.

Please hire some efficient developers
This app is a total joke. Whoever built this, please go through some free courses on basic CRUD operations and server side optimization. Simple sign up process is a total nightmare. Please work on the improvement of this rubbish.
