Passport generates a cryptographic key in your iPhone's Secure Enclave — protected by Face ID — and issues a signed JWT credential. The key never leaves your device. The agent attaches that credential to every request. Any store or service can verify it with a single API call and get back a clear answer: valid or not, who authorized it, what it can do, and when it expires.
