About

Passriva reads the NFC chip inside your electronic passport — the same chip border e-gates read — entirely on your iPhone. How it works 1. Scan the two machine-readable lines on the photo page with the camera, or type the passport number and the two dates. 2. Hold the top of your iPhone on the passport cover and keep still. 3. See the chip's data and portrait, with three separate results: was the chip read completely, is the data structure valid, and does the issuing country's digital signature check out (when supported). Privacy by design • No account, no server, no analytics. • Passport data is shown only while the result is on screen; nothing is saved and nothing is uploaded automatically. • An optional technical report (no passport fields, no portrait, no chip messages) can be shared by you, only when you choose. • Optional app lock with Face ID, Touch ID or your device's passcode. Scope Passports only (not ID cards or residence permits). Requires an iPhone with NFC and iOS 17 or later. Reading and signature checks do not establish the holder's identity, travel eligibility or lost/stolen status. Available in 12 languages: Arabic, English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian, Korean, Turkish, Russian and Hebrew.
