The neighborhood news is seldom covered anywhere else, but Patch tries hard to do it. I applaud that effort.
Too much.
Too many stories outside my area. Signed up to get local news. Getting stories from all over the state. Most of them have no impact on me.

Since Patch stopped allowing comments by readers more than a year ago the political bias is evident.
Patch needs work
The patch app is too disorganized and the some of the stories are old ( like months old). The writing leaves a lot to be desired, the stories often lack the proper detail or they include details that really have nothing to do with the main story. This App could be really useful if it was organized and held pertinent information.

Neighborhood Connection
I have had Patch News for years and I liked when I could connect with neighbors until they changed it so you can only connect with people through Facebook. I don’t have Facebook and not everyone one does. Why couldn’t Patch leave it as is for those of us who do not want to go through Facebook. I used to like connecting with neighbors through the Patch app. Stinks. I did find another neighbor app where I don’t have to do it through Facebook.

I see the potential but unfortunately there isn’t much to read. It’s also kind of messy and all over the place. Very disorganized but again, I do see it’s potential if the right ppl fix this.
