Doesn’t work
App used to give appropriate responses and guidelines but in the last two weeks it hasn’t worked at all. Even for simple things to test it.
Difficulty with loading
Whenever the app actually loads it’s typically useful but lately every time I type a question, it just keeps saying “loading” and eventually an error pops up. It doesn’t matter what question I ask. Even if I click on pathway’s suggested questions, those don’t work either.
Useless
Pathway is moving to Doximity

Excellent medical reference for PCP
Ease of use, sophisticated/nuanced capabilities, info in seconds.
Concise, recent references.
BUT the thread/logic function is poor. 1-2 follow-up questions later, output diverts from the original context without my explicit shift in interest

Love it
Pathways is so helpful in giving me information about diagnosing. It’s convenient and fast.
Not as advertised
Ad suggests it would be pulling verified recommendations and allow quick access to guidelines.
Instead it’s just a standard AI generator with all the glitches and inability to verify sources as asking Google Gemini.

I enjoy this app very much. I gave up my subscription to another app because this one has been much more user-friendly.
I am 80 years old and still work 18 to 20 hours a week. This app helps me feel young again.😄

Not worth the money
Overall I love the idea of the app but the execution just hasn’t been working for me. The first frustrating thing is the apps inability to link from email updates. There will be an update I’d like to read on the app but I get stuck in a loop of “database updating”. The AI feature really leaves something to be desired. Very rarely do I use it any more as OpenEvidence gives either more clinically relevant or better sourced answers. In the end I find myself going to UpToDate, Amboss, or OpenEvidence AFTER I’ve tried to use Pathway which tells me it’s not with the money. I do like the email updates and find myself going to look at the papers they mention but just not in the app.

Useless
There is nothing special about this App. It takes your pulse, calculates your obesity risk, etc. The questionnaires lack depth and end up wrong. It costs $10 a week for information that’s available for free on the internet. This App feels like a scam.
poor
too simple- the chatgpt free version or copilot is much better - i have tried both with same
questions and quite disappointed how limited pathway ai responses were even to very simple questions like

Advertised as “completely free”, it’s not.
Advertised as “completely free, it’s only a free trial.” I deleted immediately once I realized the misleading claim in their advertising.
A bit pricey for what is offered.
It was so expensive and my first delve into AI apps. I don’t regret my purchase, but would not recommend this to others.
I won’t renew my subscription because I have found other AI apps that are free and better, but I will continue to use this from time to time and see if it improves.
The information needs to be more digestible. I need to cut through the weeds to confirm my medical decision making on the fly during and between clinic encounters, is why I shy away from up-to-date. U2Date is still my go-to for pharmacology dosing.
Has potential.

Better Than UpToDate
Now don’t get me wrong, I still use UpToDate for certain things that I need more detailed information on, however, I absolutely love using Pathway for quick easy access to Clinical information!
Best app ever!!!
PATHWAY IS A LIFESAVER AND A TIMESAVER!!!
Not Working. I don’t recommend buying it
I paid for full year membership (to use AI aspect of it) and then discovered that it’s not working. Sitting with patient I have limited time to search medical facts. First of all this app takes time to start up, then when you ask it a question, it takes time to bring up the answer, on top of that it hangs and stops working (crashes) quite frequently. It simply didn’t work for me. I asked them to reimburse me the money. They referee me to Apple for reimbursement. I asked Apple for reinstatement, they refused. I highly recommend against it, rather I would recommend using “OpenEvidence” online which is a free portal for health care providers. It never crashed since I have been using it. You ask it questions and the AI answers it within few of seconds along with references.

No
They want a bunch of your private information before they let you use the app. I don’t even know if I want to use the app, but I have to give private information? No. Just no. AFTER they get your private information, at which point you’re committed, you probably hit a pay wall. Could be a good resource, but I don’t want to go any further with this product.

BEWARE!
After downloading this app I was added to about 200 email lists (not exaggerating). I was only trying to find out the price before starting to use it- $450 per year. Deleted the app and unsubscribing endlessly.
Not free
I did not use. After I gave information about myself I see the “free” is 7 days. All apps should show the real cost up front. Some physician apps are actually free.
Great idea but could be executed better
I’m having a bit of hard time reading and comprehending the guidelines on the go because they are a jumbled mix of US/UK/Canadian guidelines and also vary by subspecialty society guidelines. I just want to be able to skim through to the diagnosis / management but it’s not intuitive. I would prefer the option of selecting what regional guidelines I want to follow and then my topics only list those regional guidelines. There are statements with a tiny expand / drop down option to view additional statements. That’s extremely confusing and not fun to use on the phone either. Maybe if user can select region it can shorten the text displayed and the need to have drop down lists.
