About

Wondering whether now is a good time for a dog walk? Paw Heat Check combines local weather with estimated road surface temperature to give you a quick walk guideline. Choose your current location or set an area manually, then see the walk signal, pavement estimate, and the next better window. Heat and pavement affect every dog differently. The app adjusts its guideline using the selected breed's traits, including brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, puppies, senior dogs, and short-legged breeds. Choose from 49 breeds or enter a mixed breed. Key features: Four-color walk signal: green, yellow, orange, and red Estimated road surface temperature and paw pad risk level Forecast of a better walk window up to 24 hours ahead with Pro Home Screen widgets for the walk check and pavement heat Manual area selection when location access is unavailable No ads or analytics tracking Free features: One dog profile Current walk check Estimated road surface temperature Small Home Screen widget Pro is a one-time purchase and adds: Better walk-window forecasts up to 24 hours ahead Multiple dog profiles with individual and overall checks A 24-hour walk outlook Walk-check notifications Medium Home Screen widget Before going out, touch the pavement with the back of your hand for 5 seconds. If it feels hot, consider waiting or choosing shade, soil, or grass. Road surface temperatures, walk signals, and heatstroke risk levels are estimates and guidelines. Individual dogs vary. If your dog shows concerning symptoms or has an existing condition, consult a veterinarian. Location data is sent to Apple only to fetch weather. The last location and dog profiles are stored on your device. KiesS Works does not receive them on its servers. Operated by KiesS Works.
