What's New in PawTrails
1.2.0
July 28, 2026
PawTrails speaks five new languages. Spanish, French, German, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese — the whole app follows whatever your iPhone is set to, right down to the location prompt. Places look completely different now: instead of a flat colour block, every place opens with pictures you can swipe through — photos people have added, free photos from Wikimedia, and Apple's own street-level views of the park itself — and you can tap any of them to see it full screen, or step in and walk around the place before you go. Anywhere we can't find a picture still opens with the real route drawn on a map, so you always see the shape of the walk before you head out. Trails load faster and give up less easily, too — the map used to sit there spinning when OpenStreetMap was busy, and now it quietly tries again and tells you plainly when there simply aren't any dog-friendly places mapped where you are. Sharing finally works properly — send someone a trail and, if they don't have the app yet, the link takes them to the App Store instead of nowhere — and there are Rate and Share shortcuts in your profile now. One thing we forgot to mention last update: photos get a quick check right on your iPhone before they upload, so trail pages stay about trails and dogs, and your photo isn't sent anywhere to be looked at. Plus the usual behind-the-scenes work so we catch and fix problems faster.
