Hidden Eligibility Rules Used to Push Wallet Access and Deposits
MoonPay promoted this campaign as a PayBox/AI wallet test and explicitly stated that users “only need a Claude or ChatGPT account.” Following those instructions, I installed the plugin, created an account, granted wallet access, deposited real funds, tested transactions, and spent hours waiting for the promised USDC reward. Only after the reward became available did the claim page reveal that it was restricted to “verified MoonPay customers.” In reality, users also needed a MoonPay account, identity verification/KYC, and regional eligibility. This decisive requirement was not clearly disclosed during the promotion or testing process. Had it been stated upfront, many ineligible users would never have installed the plugin, granted wallet access, deposited funds, or provided related data. The product was also extremely unreliable: connections repeatedly expired, signing keys had to be resubmitted, transactions remained stuck, and permissions were difficult to revoke. This campaign appeared designed to generate installations, wallet connections, real transaction testing, and user data through incomplete and misleading information—not to conduct a transparent and trustworthy product test. I strongly advise users not to grant wallet access, deposit funds, or submit identity information until MoonPay clearly discloses all eligibility requirements, data practices, and reliable account-deletion and permission-revocation procedures.

They gave out an airdrop which didnt work for a good amount of time i wasnt able to claim even tho i was eligible then there was a bug of which they couldnt find my moonpay account which I’ve registeredand kycd just to remove the airdrop again? Delete moonpay aswell scammers plus high fees anyway
