Doesn’t work on my IPad Pro

I have a 2025 IPad Pro and this app does not work at all. It’s fine on my iPhone but I can’t get it to open any files.

Good compressor app for PDF

Free or pay $5 AUD to remove ads, done

Best Compression & Quality

This app is by far the best app to use to compress large PDF files that can be reduced in size to under 5 MBs or less. Outstanding!

CANNOT SELECT A FILE

DOES NOT WORK

useless

doesn’t work on ipad, unable to select a file

Is the document safe?

I am wondering If I may use this app. Are those documents? Are they permanently deleted?

No longer works with current iOS update

No longer works with the current iOS update. This app should be removed from the App Store.

Amazing

This app is a life saver. Amazing!

Great app!

This app does exactly what it says that it does, quickly, and for free. The ads are a little annoying, but they don’t last very long. I use this to compress textbooks so I can flip through the pages faster.

Not usefull

Zero doesn’t help😒

Doesnt work

I tried to compress and wvery time it says that the connection has failed f u

T

It’s caught in a loop

This app doesn’t work

This app doesn’t work. I download it and it doesn’t do anything. It won’t even open up a file anywhere, much less compress anything. What is the point of this app if it can’t even open up a file?

Good works

The App is very effective

Not working iPad Pro

Not working at all unfortunately, like some of the other reviews there’s no way to upload anything it’s like the select pdf button is not responsive whatsoever. It may work for you, idk try it out.

App Won’t Function on my iPad Pro

The App loads fine, and it seems like it might work…some of the touch-controls even work (like selecting the amount of compression to be used) — but I can’t actually load a PDF to compress!

The button “Select PDF” is entirely non-responsive to touch - doesn’t matter what I tried, it simply wouldn’t work - and so there’s no way to choose a file to compress, making the entire app USELESS! Zero stars. Going to delete and find a professional app that actually works.

Very helpful app - but not working on iPadOS 16.2!

Further to the below, I now find that when I open the app on my iPad running iPadOS 16.2 (ie the latest one), it will not let me select PDFs at all, making is completely useless! FWIW, I would have given it even fewer stars now but, thankfully, it is still working on my iPhone, running iOS 16.2 - fiddly but not a total bust… (Oh, and this issue arose at iPadOS 16.1 but has not been solved with the update).

Please make it work with iPadOS 16.2 (and, per the below, please do allow landscape use, too).

OLD REVIEW: I am using a 2020 iPad Air for all my work at the moment and am finding PDF Compressor an extremely useful app on a daily basis. In fact, it’s almost a 5 star app - I just need it to cope with being used in landscape as well as portrait (I am bored of tilting my neck over!) and, ideally, to offer more levels of compression, too. (Currently, it essentially limits you to a bit/some/loads of compression but sometimes an inbetween level would be handy. And if it were possible to tell it to compress to, say, just under 10MB, that would be even better). Update: I posted the above in March ‘21 and it’s now Feb ‘22 - I’m still using the app all the time but I’m also still waiting for it to work in landscape as well as portrait. If the developers are reading this, please can you add this ‘feature’ soon? It really is the main irritation about an otherwise very helpful app. Thanks!

Great App

Fantastic app. Easy to use & extremely simple to navigate.

Very useful for limited size attachment emails

I found this to send email updates to supporters that could include pictures and group email lists while in limited internet areas. This compresses fast and well and allows me to make these documents small enough to to send to pretty much any recipient.

One thing that is frustrating is the insistence on staying in portrait mode. I use this on an ipad with a keyboard, so my head is always cocked to the left to use this. Moving to landscape mode when desired would be a cool improvement.

Compressed file was larger than original!

Need I say more? What a waste of my time.
