Does not work well

Original Review 1st June 2021: You cannot hide the sidebar that shows you all your slides, meaning that when you share your screen (on zoom say), it looks bad. You also have virtually no settings to change: When you move to the next slide, it slides down. I would like no animation at all, which is important for Beamer slides. In any case, it’s very difficult to move onto the next slide anyway. The scroll feature worked only once. Also the laser point is super slow and so you can’t really use it. I wasted money buying this app.

Edit 5th June 2021: Following the developer’s response about the intention of this app, I have improved my rating. However, any buyer should be aware the app does not really support screen sharing at this time, for the reasons I mention above. The scrolling works; just make sure you swipe close to the edge of the screen. If the laser pointer speed can be improved then that would be good. A few more settings (e.g. slide transition options) would also be good, as well as more clarity on what the buttons do at the top.

Response from developer

We are very sorry that PDF Lecture does not meet you needs. Originally this app was meant to be used in presence lectures and the interface is designed to work perfectly with a second screen, which shows the slides. Actually we are experimenting with interface changes so they are better suited for virtual lectures. The issues you mentioned regarding the scroll-feature and the laser pointer are new to us but we will take a look on those bugs. Thank you for pointing them out to us. Thank you for your feedback so we can improve PDF Lecture. We are very sorry that this app did not satisfied your needs.
