It works well
I have a scanner but this is super handy. I have not nor will not buy the premium version. So far I've only scanned a few documents but I haven't encounter any issues with the free version.

No better than in built Files app
It’s fine. It doesn’t really add anything other than a different sandbox to store your scans.
Note to developer: the feature that separates a good scanning doc from a lousy one, is to enhance the auto recognition of a document from an image. It amazes me how few apps do this well. If you build it they will come!
