PDF to Markdown: a new Create & Convert that exports a PDF to .md or .txt`* optionally with an assets/ sidecar of embedded raster images and optional on-device Apple Foundation Model cleanup. 3. Read Aloud: Listen to PDF pages in the viewer with on-device speech - tap the speaker in the zoom toolbar for Stop, Pause, and Slow/Normal/Fast speed; pages auto-advance and skip blank text; chevron, thumbnail, and go-to-page navigation keeps reading from the new page; choose speech language and voice (plus Test Voice) in Settings. 4. Improved Scanned OCR: Searchable PDF and Flatten with OCR read scans and photos more accurately. Enable Scanned Document for deskew, cleanup, and 300, 400, or 600 DPI resolution. 5. Merge File Order: Drag files in the Merge PDF tool to set the order they are combined. 6. Keyboard Shortcuts: Launch any of the PDF tools from a hardware keyboard on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Press Command-Shift and a letter, or use the Tools menu on Mac. 7. Repair & Processing Reliability: Repair recovers more damaged PDFs, redaction handles circular bookmarks safely, and compress and repair now share the same limits on very large documents.
