Disappointed

Hi there. Thank you so much for using Peachie and for your honest feedback. We completely understand your disappointment, especially if you only use the app occasionally. We want to reassure you that your saved recipes are not lost. You can still access them anytime on our website at peachie.recipes, even without a subscription. We chose to move to a subscription model so we can keep improving the app and build features our users have been asking for, like smart grocery lists, easier recipe sharing, and more. If you ever find value in using those tools, you can subscribe and cancel anytime, with no commitment. There’s so much more coming soon, and we truly hope you’ll stick around to see what’s next. Thanks again for being a part of our community. - The Peachie Team
Not worth it
Deceiving update
Response from developer
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We understand how this change can feel frustrating. Our goal is to keep improving Peachie so it’s not just a place to store recipes, but a powerful tool for organizing, planning, and sharing them. Just to clarify: any recipe saved to your profile can be fully edited, including adding custom notes just for you. So you can tweak and personalize recipes however you like if you click on the three dots when viewing any recipe, you can select "Edit Recipe" to make these changes. Finally, we have good news...your recipes are still safe and can be accessed anytime at peachie.recipes, even without a subscription. We’re continuing to build even more features based on feedback like yours so we hope you’ll stick around. - The Peachie Team

Nice but...

Thank you for the honest feedback — and for being an early Peachie supporter. You're right: our original goal was to keep Peachie free and fund it through physical products like the wipeable recipe prints you mentioned. While many users loved those, we found that a large portion of our audience used Peachie purely for digital features — and wanted more. As we’ve added functionality and grown, the cost of storing recipes, building new tools, and improving the overall experience has increased significantly. Subscriptions give us the ability to keep improving the app without compromising quality or bombarding users with ads. That said, we totally understand that a monthly fee may not feel worth it to more casual users like yourself. That’s why we’ve tried to keep the price as low and manageable as possible for early adopters, with the goal of delivering more value over time. We truly appreciate your support and honesty, and we hope to earn back your trust as Peachie continues to grow into something even better. — The Peachie Team
Great app and worth the charge!
I have been using Peachie from Day 1 of their creation and launch!
It’s a great app! I love that I can store all the family recipes on it but also I have the option to have a card printed out for an extra charge.
HONESTLY, I missed the email of them changing to start charging a subscription. No worries as can’t expect everything to be free on a Gold Platter! It’s still worth the $20 annually.
Maybe they will consider offering a lifetime subscription option . It could even be for a certain amount of # like first 10,000 people or offer it to people who been with them the longest! They can have a set charge amount they set and donate 50% of each lifetime subscription to a NON PROFIT CHARITY and it’s a win win for all. We get amazing benefits and they get a tax write off!

We're so glad you are loving the app and appreciate your support! We're excited to keep building new features and make Peachie better every day!
Don’t trust them
Response from developer
We’re sorry this experience has left you feeling frustrated and disappointed. To clarify, we did send out an email and posts on social, ahead of the update to let users know about the switch to a paid model and the included free trial. That said, it’s clear from your experience that this communication didn’t reach you, and for that, we are sorry. You are right, the original model was to keep Peachie free by monetizing only through physical products. But as the app grew — and more users relied on digital features alone — the cost to maintain, store, and build new tools became too high to sustain without a subscription. The decisions we made were based on overwhelming customer feedback. We understand that a sudden change like this, especially without a visible free tier, can feel abrupt — particularly for early users like you who invested so much time into organizing recipes. That’s exactly why we included a free trial and why your recipes are still saved within your profile online. We’re grateful for your support up to this point, and we’re truly sorry to see you go — but we hope you’ll keep an eye on Peachie. Our goal is to earn keep making Peachie better and earn back your trust. — The Peachie Team
Disappointed and Frustrated
Note: Wouldn’t give any stars but had to in order to get my review to post.

We’re sorry you feel this way — and we understand your frustration. When Peachie launched, our hope was to keep the app free and support it through printed recipe cards. While many loved the prints, most of our users used Peachie purely for digital features, which meant we needed a new path to keep the app running and growing. Although we communicated the subscription change through email social notifications, some of you may not have seen the message. We included a free trial to give everyone time to access their profile in the app. We’ve also kept the web version open and free for that very reason — so no one would be locked out of their recipes. We know how much time and care many users put into saving and organizing their family recipes, and we don’t take that lightly. The decision to move to a subscription model was made to ensure we can keep improving Peachie and offering features that our community has asked for — not to cut anyone off. We truly appreciate the support and passion from early users like you, and we’re sorry this change didn’t align with your expectations. Our goal is to rebuild that trust over time by continuing to deliver real value. — The Peachie Team
