Love this app

Easy to follow and great walks

Good but I wish I could leave my own points on the map for my own reference, I can’t understand why this was left out, would be great to see an update with this feature and I can only guess it was forgotten to add

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. If not already done so, please update to the latest version. Functionality to define custom waypoints and routes as well as route recording has been implemented. Route import/export is also available. For further information please refer to the user guide incorporated into the app.

Excellent

I’ve used the Lakes, Snowdonia, Yorkshire and Peak District apps for years now. I never normally leave reviews but was sharing the app with a friend and thought I would. The route mapping is great. I normally use ‘plot a route’ website online to plot my routes then send the route to my phone by email, save to files, then import. You can easily import routes already made online by gpx aswell. I rarely do it but can even plot routes on the app itself. The detail is great. I love being able to pinpoint my location. I can’t fault these apps. I’ve ticked off nearly all the Nuttalls using it. It’s been invaluable

Peak District

I like to use the app in line with my old school map, brilliant for planning and recording routes.

Maps not loading correctly in new iOS

Love this app, however since the latest iOS update it seems to be developing glitches. When plotting a route the map will intermittently disappear leaving you with just the waypoints. It’s frustrating as you can no longer see where you’re going! If JOMO read this, please find out what’s happening as this app is fantastic otherwise.

Spot on!

This app is absolutely spot on. Never buy a paper map again, and import your walk route data from other websites for example onto the app. I would pay several times over for this. Spot on.

Works perfectly!

I hiked around Kinder Scout this past bank holiday weekend for the first time. Had very little to no cell service the whole time but navigating wasn’t a problem because the app oriented me perfectly!

I’d appreciate an update to improve the UI but that’s small peanuts.

Thank you!

Useless!!

If these maps are supposed to be sourced from the OS, then I'm really very unimpressed or this App is a con! I purchased this map for walking and trekking the Peak District. The Tissington trail is not even featured! This is a huge popular trail and is rather like omitting the Pennine way! In the end I found apple's satellite view more reliable.
This App is so useless, I was forced to get the proper OS map of the Peak District at £24.

Response from developer

We can assure, as stated in the app description, the offline map and most of the search data is sourced from OS. As also stated, the footpaths are sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors and we acknowledge there may be omissions. The app allows import (and export) of gpx files, so if you wish to add routes sourced from elsewhere then this is possible. As you point out, if you wish to purchase a map with footpaths defined by OS then you can expect to pay more than our apps sell for.

Highly useful

Love this app. I've now got every app in the full set of National Park series. Well done. I recommend.

Great App from great collection

The map detail combined with GPS and the excellent new route planning functionality (including gpx import/export) make this app a very useful aid to a traditional map and compass. 5* 👍👍👍👍👍

Great Ordnance Survey offline maps

These are the best detailed maps out there. As you zoom in the detail increases right the way down to 1:10k. The route creation is simple and intuitive (unlike other apps I've tried) and the comprehensive search and hill details is amazing too with every detail of every hill covered (I've not found a hill that's not included).

First day using it

I read quite a few reviews and being a novice walker I wasn't really sure what to go for. I have been super happy with this app and found the reviews my turning point for choosing it. Hence why I am leaving a review. Enjoyed our walk via this app and hope if weather holds we will do more.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and for the positive feedback.

Essential companion for walkers in Peak District.

A full set of topographic maps in your pocket. Fully operational off line. Zooming moves through the various scales of topographic maps. Scale bar is displayed. Your GPS position is superimposed on map as blue dot. All paths are shown. Comprehensive search function works well. Stable. Easy to use. Only contour interval is missing. Highly recommended if you are in the Peak District and don't want to carry or buy the Dark Peak and the White Peak tipo maps

Very good app

No more wrestling with paper maps in the wind and it tells you where you are so you can't get lost. I'll be getting more of these. Thank you.
