Possibly the best app in the world
I don’t really ever write reviews, but I’m making an exception because this app means a lot to me. Not just for what it does - though it does that very well - but also for its general philosophy. It is a paragon for digital products everywhere, a small clear spring in a fetid swamp of subscriptions, adverts, poor design, and bloat. You pay a small amount once, and receive, forever, a tool that is both useful and pleasurable to use. It’s like a good knife, or a well-designed pencil sharpener: you’re not going to need it all the time, but when you do, it’s there and it works, and the experience of it working is aesthetically and functionally beautiful. Thank you to the creator of this app for providing some hope in a dark world.

Great app but missing one thing…
I love this app but I wish I could plot GPS coordinates so I can see where that point is in the distance.

Je l’utilise beaucoup. Grace à lui j’ai pu choisir avec précision le lieu où observer l’éclipse solaire de 2026. Suggestion : ajouter l’heure de lever / coucher (en option) pour les planètes.
Very Helpful
I live at the foot of the northern Rockies in the United States. I’m just outside of Glacier Park. So I have had plenty of opportunities to use this app. I love it because it answers the question I most often have, "What mountain is that?". You would think it would be enough to have good maps, but looking at mountains from the side is a lot different than looking at a map. And it’s often hard to tell what mountains I’m seeing in the far distance between an opening in mountains that are close to me. This takes care of all of that.

offline,small app but world peaks data

Wie oft steht man auf irgendeinen Gipfel und versucht verzweifelt, auf der Karte herauszufinden, auf welchen Gipfel man blickt. Die App funktioniert absolut zuverlässig auch offline! Ich nutze sie praktisch bei jeder Bergtour.

This app is a brilliant use of public topologic data and the interface is simple and intuitive. Congratulations to the dev here, it’s rare that a niche is filled so masterfully.
Wasn’t Working- Had to Buy Again
I have been using the app for about 10 years and it used to work great. Past year it was unable to download data from the servers. I had to purchase again which means it is not free of recurring costs.

WAAAAAY off!
when I first got this app it worked pretty good. Now it’s about 60° off. Don’t waste your money get something else
Great app that is indispensable for people like me
I've always loved the app and when I had an issue with it the dev personally reached out to me via email to get feedback and implemented the change within a month or less. They really care about making a great product and it shows.
Incomplete Offline Map Data
It is impossible to download all of the offline map data at once, even after checking iDevice storage and having the full amount of storage available. Why display the entire map if you cannot download it all to view on-demand?
Einzigartig – es gibt nichts vergleichbares
Seit Jahren Referenz-Klasse in dem was es tut und kann. Funktioniert und hilft immer – bis jetzt gerade 😅 Vermutlich ein Datenfehler: Beim Versuch mir die Gipfel rund um Zermatt anzuzeigen musste ich ca. 35 mb an Daten nachladen und dann hat die App, obwohl mit korrekter Positionsangabe, zum ersten Mal nichts brauchbares anzeigen können, irgendwas hat nicht geklappt und es wurden keine Gipfel und Sichtlinien wie gewohnt erstellt und angezeigt. Das was angezeigt wurde war nicht zu gebrauchen.

Good app auto gyro is terrible
The app is overall very good but the fact they don't have a setting to turn off the auto gyroscope compass sync feature is maddening. Every time you switch your location or put the phone down then pull it back up the camera starts jumping around even though I'm not even viewing at my current location where I could get some perspective from moving my phone around.

Exactly what I wanted
Living in the Pacific Northwest, I like to know what I’m looking at when we go on road trips. This lets me know which mountains I’m seeing, and that’s exactly what I wanted.
