Over 350 new rivers PeakFlows now covers over 800 graded whitewater rivers in 38 countries, almost twice as many as the last update. New in the US are the Lower Gauley, the Chattooga, the Tuolumne, the Middle Fork Salmon and the Upper Yough. On Dartmoor the Plym and Walkham, in Scotland the Teith and Ettrick Water, in Wales the Tawe, Neath and Tywi, and in Ireland Ballysadare Falls, the Gaddagh at Hag's Glen, the Leannan, the Aughrim and the Rye, plus new sections of the Barrow, Slaney and Suir. Big additions in Canada, France, Switzerland, Spain, Austria and New Zealand too, and Bulgaria is our newest country. New rivers go live every week. Now available in CarPlay! PeakFlows has its own CarPlay app. Your favorite rivers, Running ones first, show on your car's screen with the live level, which way it's heading, recent rain and the forecast. Tap Put in or Take out for directions straight to the right spot. Level or flow, your units Read a river as a level or as a flow where the agency publishes one, in metric or imperial. Instantly switch between them. Over 40 Irish rivers now have flow charts too, worked out from the OPW and EPA flow records for each gauge. A forecast you can check The forecast now has three tabs for the next 24 hours, the next four days and how often it has been right on that river. Clearer river cards A plain verdict on every river, where today's level sits in its running range and Flood only shown when official flood data or the gauge's own historical records back it up. Tidal gauges now say Tidal. Plan the week Each country's outlook shows how many rivers are running and where the rain is heading, with a seven day rain and wind forecast for every river. Group Trip Pick a meeting point with directions. With Pro your group sees the forecast for the day of the trip. Shared river and Group Trip links now open straight in the app. Daily alert at your level Pick a level and get one alert at your chosen time on any day the river is at or above it. Hazards on the map Hazard reports show as pins on the map and in a Live Hazards list. Design improvements Redesigned widgets and a new home screen, with today's outlook at the top and what has changed since your last visit. The full screen chart is rebuilt and flips between level and flow. River lists and the country picker are cleaner, sign in is simpler and each river's features and grade notes sit in one place. Crossing times now read in words, like Running in about three hours, and the terms and methodology open inside the app. No ads, no ad tracking We removed the advertising trackers from the app (we had planned to run search engine ads and decided not to). Also new Fuller translations in every language the app supports, a fullscreen map and a faster app overall. Read the water and always make your own call on the day.
