Horrible

Only shows some peaks

Crashes at launch

Sticks as soon as it comes up . So far I’ve never got it to work

US peaks, where is Alaska?

Not all US states included.

Only worked once for free state.

Only worked for free state. Once I bought the full version it says the other stare maps are Available Offline and restore purchases doesn’t work. Big disappointment.

Works fine ...

If you’re in the house or near WiFi all the time. Otherwise the standard error is “restore purchase”

Can’t calibrate compass

Used to work. Then lost ability to calibrate compass. Reinstalled but same problem. Too bad, it was good when it worked

Nothing happened

Got North Carolina maps. The app does NOTHING! I have a screen shot really wish I could attach it. NOTHING!!!!

Not good

Simply doesn’t work very well

Won’t restore purchases, fails to perform as it once did

Won’t restore purchases, fails to perform as it once did. Peaks not recognized

Augmented Reality Sensor Failure Fixed

Keeps locking up giving me the error “ Augmented Reality Sensor Failure “
Used to be my favorite app!

07/16/20 Update: I learned that “compass calibration “ needs to be turned on or your phone won’t work using Augmented Reality.

I’ll try to use it again soon and do another update.

Great update!

The latest update makes the peak names much more accurate and readable. Love the larger font sizes. I use it while hiking to learn the names of local mountains and hills.

Thanks!

No longer works at all

I upgraded and paid for more states’ mountain identifications, but only get a compass error. So I downloaded World Peaks for free and it works! You need to fix your app. It's wrong to take money for something that is broken and not fix it!

Disappointed

Could not get it to recognize any peaks no matter how far I moved the horizon in Maine, NH, and AZ

Pretty useless

Great idea but not well executed. I have used it countless times in different states and have never had it properly identify mountain peaks. Waste of money!!

Great App for Horizon Watching

I love this app. And the latest version has increased calibration capabilities that help address the “offset” issue reported is some of the other/older reviews. If you know a peak, you can align the camera with the peak and you’re all set!

I love using it to identify peaks on the horizon that I can see from my house.

Funky...

The App requires an awkward iPhone orientation and will not maintain magnetic compass offset. It is, therefore, difficult for me to find peaks with which I am familiar, much more so unfamiliar peaks. Information appears to be good, but getting to it and maintaining it are difficult.

Don’t waste your time with this one

I was hoping to find a free peak finder to familiarize myself with the area better, but this app fell short by far. It could not locate my position accurately at all! I live near the West Elk Wilderness in Colorado, and I cannot get a silhouette to match anywhere. This app is not worth your time. Just spend the five bucks on PeakFinder AR

Doesn’t cover Alaska

Too bad

Waste of money

Only tells me the hills in the foreground. I want to know the mountains in the distance.

Totally useless - says there is a compass error, have done everything that is suggested to fix it and it still doesn’t work. Thought it was free but then found out I only got one state free. Paid the $2.99 to download all of the states, which was a joke because it doesn’t work at all on my iPhone 8. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
