About
PeakUV warns you before the UV index climbs — not after you're already burning.
Most UV apps show one flat number for your whole town and only alert you once the threshold is already crossed. PeakUV is built differently.
PREDICTIVE ALERTS
Alerts are computed from the forecast with lead time, so you hear "UV hits 8 around 13:00" before it happens — time to find shade, not a notification after the damage is done.
ALTITUDE-AWARE
UV rises with elevation, and the published forecast is for the weather model's grid height, not where you're standing. PeakUV corrects to your actual altitude and tells you so — essential in mountain terrain like the Pyrenees and the Alps, where you can climb 1000 m in a single day.
AT A GLANCE
• Home-screen and lock-screen widgets
• Apple Watch app and complication
• A clear hourly curve with plain-language severity bands, from Low to Extreme
HONEST BY DESIGN
This is forecast data, not a measurement from your phone — and we say so plainly. We show "roughly 9 up high," never false precision. Snow glare can add a lot of UV but can't be read from the forecast, so we don't guess at it. We'd rather be honest than fake it.
