What's New in Peal

1.0.208

October 28, 2026

What to wear (Beta, Toolbox): today's outfit, with why, for you or your kids. Stay quiet if it already happened (Beta): "Walk the dog" stays quiet when time away, your steps or a walking workout shows a walk. Flexible tasks say what they wait for: "After 800 steps, by 10:00 AM"; new: Keep the time a surprise. Settings, simpler: essentials up front, the rest under More options; one Snooze screen. Support Peal: an optional yearly Supporter plan unlocks every app icon, with a new one each month, and a tip jar. A ringing alarm you can read: the whole alarm, why it rang, Done, Snooze or Open. Snooze a ring for an hour, or move a task to tomorrow from its ring; Home follows where your phone sleeps. Your first in-person event's wake-up rings as you set it; an event at home gets no leave-by. A first in-person event whose address can't be found keeps its wake-up; ringing answers wrap at large text. Permission screens say what each access is for and what works without it. Setup guides label every choice; task rows read cleanly at every text size. A wake-up time, get-ready or earlier heads-up you set for one event is planned exactly as set. One ring, not two: only you stop a ringing or snoozed alarm; a meeting on two calendars rings once. A phone number as the location means a call: no leave-by. If Peal can't time a drive, the start alarm rings. When a meeting runs long: an alarm at its end, for titles and places you choose. Leave from where you are: an earlier event's place until it ends, then your phone. Skip one day: swipe a repeating alarm on the Day view; undo from the same row. Flexible tasks: one sentence you tap to change; start from a template. - One ring a day; Try again adds a second. Tap one in All alarms for its next time and why. - Set days, like Sundays and Wednesdays, with their own hours; Vary it picks the day or time. - A day with no room can ring anyway, wait a day, try later or ring early; a morning note says so. - Where can be "away from where I'm based"; a place can wait a few minutes. On my daily list (Beta): a task can ring on its own or go on your daily list. Each morning Peal picks what fits your free time and rings once: "Today's list: 3 things, about 45 min". What's left goes back; put off three times, it asks: keep, shrink or drop it. Betas, labeled. A beta that changes what rings is off until you turn it on: - Tasks tied to an event: "bring the insurance card, 30 min before you leave for the dentist". - Event sequence planning (Toolbox): when events overlap, pick the order and how long to stay. Your calendar changes only if you turn that on and confirm. - Running late, leave now: one more ring after a missed leave-by. - One get-ready for back-to-back in-person events. - Automations can add another event, like a 5:00 PM pickup after each drop-off. - Prep and debrief: time to get ready or wrap up around an event. Pause covers every timed alarm, event reminder and task; alarms that ring when you arrive or leave a place still do. Know before you update: older versions can't read the new tasks, so update every device to this version first. A flexible task made on this version never reaches a device on an older version. A device on an older version keeps ringing its old copy of a task. Turning a task on or off or deleting it there still reaches your updated devices; other edits made there don't. It has no daily list, so it rings a list item on its own. When the list moves to another device, the one that had it may ring it once more. On 1.0.165 or earlier, Undo after a task's ring can make that device ring it again soon after. Editing automations on an older version drops prep and debrief.
