This is the very first build. Please report anything that might seem out of place.
Here are some of the features inside Pearlyboi. I still have some ideas but that will wait for another time.
1. Categories
Everything starts from a category. So create one first. An example could be running. You can choose an emoji for each category and set the metric for it (e.g km).
You can toggle 'Use Currency' if this category is tracking money.
Also you can toggle 'Show in Last Did' to show how many days ago you performed an activity in this category.
2. Goals
A main feature of this app is to setup personal goals. Goals are broken down into day, week, month and year.
You can create multiple goals for a category. For example I've set a goal of running 40km a week.
At the home page, any activities created within the week gets added to the goal.
Goal gives a quick visual feedback on how consistent you've been.
3. Activities
After setting up Categories and Goals, you will be able to create Activities for each Category.
For example after running 10km, I will tap on my Goal at the homepage and create my running activity.
4. History
All activities are saved locally offline on your device. Tap the menu button and click 'History' to view all your past activities. You can filter them by Day, Week, Month and Year.
Additionally you can filter them by categories. Clicking on an activity in the History page allows you to quickly edit them.
5. Insights
Insight can be access from the menu. It shows a boxed heatmap of the total money spent each day. It also includes a summary of the year broken down by categories. Filtering of categories is also possible.
6. Countdown
I always like the idea of being able to see whats upcoming in my life. Countdown can be accessed from the menu. You will need to give permissions to your calendar so that the app can search and select the event. This will create a countdown and present it on the homepage at the top right corner. The countdown can be set to 'Hours' or 'Days'.
7. Customizable Homescreen
The grid for Goals and Last Did at the home page can be modified to your liking. You can change the borders, the number of items per column or set the grid smaller using compact mode.
8. Backup and Restore
In the settings menu, you can backup the local database to anywhere. It is a sqlite file. Send it to Telegram for backup if required. If needed, you can restore the data through the app too.
