This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon. Adjusted for iOS8 and iOS9. Sorry for taking long time to update the PECS Phase III app. If you are still experiencing a bug, please contact our support. Bug Fixes: • The app crashed at the launch (iOS9) - fixed. • Opening a popover window twice caused a crash - fixed. • Recording audio caused a crash - fixed. • Launching the camera caused a crash (iOS8) - fixed. • The Edit Picture window had a layout issue - fixed. New Features: • The welcome screen will be presented only at the first launch. To access the screen again, please tap on the help (question mark) icon. • If the app is in the session mode, the app will be in the same session mode at the next launch.

Discrete trials

This app is a great tool for teaching children how to discriminate between pictures being used in PECS and other tasks. I really want to try the PECS IV now that I know this company makes high quality apps.

great start!

i purchased after reading the info, we have other apps for my nonverbal son but he has had the same PECs book for 6 years and i thought that he would see familiar things. i am excited that pryamid is in creation mode and i think this app works great on the basics. my son does discriminate and we are using this app more and more i dont know how to make the nest phase work like a real book but i can't wait to see what is next!

I love this app!

I love this app! While this app is not a stand-alone communication device, it has been so helpful in teaching picture discrimination to my students. The app comes pre-stocked with 100 images which are great, but I love that I can add my own images. You can record audio for any image you add as well as re-record the audio for pre-stocked images. This is certainly a nice feature! The app allows you to customize the images and the tabbed insert pages. With the images, I've been able to adjust the size and display picture and text, picture only and/or text only for each image. With the insert pages, I've been able to change the color, change the number of velcro strips per page and adjust the spacing between the strips as needed.

I also love that there are visual cheat sheets for correspondence checks and the 4-step error correction! This comes in handy when I need a reminder!

Thanks to Pyramid for creating such a wonderful and useful app! Can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Not worth it

I thought the pictures were limited and it does not gave the custom options I was expecting. It does not exactly work like a PECS system. It's just a bunch or random pictures. Not good for a teacher to use at school.
