As a urologist with many years of experience, I have treated numerous patients with urinary issues, including frequent or difficult urination, nocturia, delayed onset of urination, a weak urine stream, and the sensation of incomplete bladder emptying. Although these symptoms are most commonly caused by prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH), they can also occur in a variety of other conditions and are collectively referred to as lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). As a result, many patients experience these symptoms, which significantly diminish their quality of life. It is important to note that if left untreated, these conditions can lead to permanent damage to the urinary and genital systems, as well as serious associated diseases. My patients often mentioned that the sound of running water, such as from a tap, helps them urinate more easily. This insight inspired me to develop an app designed to assist them in the process. Recorded sounds from various water sources - such as a toilet/toilet flush, running faucet, shower, rain, streams, rivers, and even the sea, are readily available and can be used at any time with the goal of assisting urological patients.
