New version is a hassle!
I tried the newest version of PembinaValleyOnline app and I was very disappointed! It doesn’t update news in a timely manner so I went back to the website only to get frustrated by the barrage of ads and lack of news. They seem to be using this setup to hide the fact that there appears to be a major cut in articles being written. Go to local news and you will see new articles only sparingly. We need a competitor so that they will do better.

Still not ready for prime time
Most of the features work although every time I tap the configuration cog, the app crashes. It’s also not optimized for iPad nor does it allow screen rotation. It’s very odd that some of the links go to website pages. Was the plan for this app to be a fully functional standalone app or just a way of replacing a web browser? This app needs more work not the least is to make it fully compatible with tablets including iPad. For the time it’s been available, it’s still not ready for prime time.

Alerts and updates
I mean this idea is positive but they can’t seem to get the alerts right. Garbage cycle has no calendar, so they remind you of the wrong garbage day. Holidays have no updates at all. 3 out of ten. And...3 years later they continue to get it wrong...😒
Potential
This app has potential. However, every notification I get comes at least 24 hours late. So it's not reliable in the least. 👎
