Every penalty is two decisions: where to put it, and how hard to hit it. Penalties: Football League is a penalty shootout game with a whole season behind it. Name your club, pick your kit, and start in the sixth division. Win your shootouts, finish top of the table, get promoted — all the way to the first. TAKE THE KICK Tap the goal to aim, then tap again to set the power. Power decides height: only a firm strike lifts the ball up under the bar, and a soft one stays low wherever you aimed. Hit it too hard and it goes wide of the post. MAKE THE SAVE You go in goal every other kick. Watch the striker's run-up — it leans towards the corner they have picked, though a good one will sell you a dummy. Tap the third you want to cover, and your keeper commits the moment the ball is struck.
