Wish it was cheaper
$10/year for an app that tells you about who is in first feels really expensive. Even if it’s a decent looking app.

Just paid for premium specifically for the widget but the widget keeps showing 2022 standings.
Only useful if you subscribe
I picked this up to see MLB standings at a glance. They have several amazing widgets that I wanted on my home screen. Unfortunately you can’t add widgets unless you’re a subscriber. So if I want to avoid paying for another subscription, I need to open the app each time to check the standings. At that point, I might as well just use the MLB app, which I already had. It’s a shame- I wanted to love this app.

Good app but nothing updated for 2024 makes this a one star review.
Updating scores
This app use to update baseball scores quickly after end of game. Now it takes days. What is up with that?

How do I change or cancel my subscription? I don’t see a place to do that on the app or in Settings. Thx.

This is dumb. Used to be a great app. Nothing works now. What a sad thing.
Used to love
Was great, used it daily but it’s no longer updated. Hockey doesn’t even update with the latest info. It’s frustrating.

I’ve had this app for a few years now. It’s really good for football for sure. But I used to use it for hockey as well. There hasn’t been any updates since November and it is now January. No way to contact for support or questions without beingof subscriber to formally known as Twitter. But I hate social media. I’m going to unsubscribe to the premium since I am not getting anything out of it now

Paid subscriber for a broken app that I can’t get support for…
I used to love and swear by this app. Been a paid subscriber for years and years. Lately it doesn’t update scores. NHL scores are almost a month old. Tried all the usual moves to get it to refresh. But that’s not the 1-Star review, it’s the ability to message the dev for help. “Support” is X [FKA Twitter] but I cannot DM the app profile; and I cannot DM the dev human unless I spend money to get X Verified. Frustrating and an absurd waste of my time.

Great app. Please add remaining schedule
Love this app. It’s so easy to view the whole league or just follow the season and the leagues standings. However. I do wish I could view remaining schedules of teams somehow. It’s annoying that I have to go to another app just to see which game is next for a team.
Widgets are a pain to get right, but good once done
I’ve had the app for many years now (4?) and find it solid overall HOWEVER each year when it comes time to update the season (eg 22-23 to 23-24) it is a royal pain the backside! I keep getting stuck in a loop where I select the new season year but the widget keeps showing a past season. Some for of this headache happens EVERY SEASON CHANGE.

Wrong year / season in widget
MLB shows 2022 (label and team data) even though I have it set to 2023. Current season is correct in the app it’s just the widget that is wrong. Similar for NFL.
This was an easy 5 for me… has fallen all the way to 2stars
I paid for premium and I could be wrong about this, but when I did it I could have sworn it was a 1 time lifetime payment. Now they’re wanting $10 every year… it is NOT worth that… however, they do have some pretty awesome widgets if you’re in to that sort of thing.
My rating for this app used to be 5 stars.
This new (ridiculous) $10/yr price for premium is enough to knock this app down at least 1.5 stars…

I cancelled my premium membership but it doesn’t go into effect until January 2024, so all of my premium features/widgets should work the same as they always have. Unfortunately,
there have been major issues with their widgets for at least the last 3+ weeks.
Whenever I scroll thru my widgets and come across this the Pennant app’s widget, I encounter one of the following issues:
a.) the widget shows the wrong year’s standings. It keeps showing me 2022 standings (MLB) even though I have the widget set to show the current season’s standings (2023)
Or
b.) it grays out the widget completely and shows a picture of a lock. It has a message telling me that to view the widgets I need to have a premium membership. I keep clicking on the “restore previous purchase” and it doesn’t fix the issue
**remember I should still have access to everything premium until the end of January 2024**
the above issues bring this app’s rating down another 1.5 stars

I’m sorry, but the Pennant app is NOT worth $10 per year. Plain and simple this price is a total rip off…. especially when the only cool thing about the app (the widgets) have been faulty more times than not for several weeks now.
Maybe if the app and widgets actually start working correctly again AND you expanded the selection of sports beyond the big 4 professional American sports leagues.
You should consider adding College Football and College Basketball… and, although I’m not a fan of soccer, it would be wise to add some of the major professional soccer leagues around the world.

Great when it works
The widgets now say I need to upgrade even though I have paid for the premium features. Restore purchase does not work. The developer does not have any support page on their site, only way to reach out I can find is twitter, and no response to my messages there.
Lost all my functionality
Bought the app a long time ago and now am unable to view detailed stats for my favorite team. Tried restoring purchase to no avail. Tried reaching to @PennantApp a couple times and no response.
