The competition

Some competitors are able to generate a score 2x mine, even after I’ve played a very good game!.

Does anyone know why this happens? I’m a skilled player who keeps rising in the competition ratings but the scores that others achieve are often double mine. Have heard this has to do with “View Next” option being off? Is this true?? What settings do I need and how to I change them??? Not ready to wager money while this inequity exists.
