The Passport Examination Procedure Manual (PEPM) App provides quick and secure document and identity verification for border control on mobile devices. It scans the Machine-Readable Zone (OCR), uses NFC for RFID verification, performs facial matching, and active authentication. The app operates offline without dedicated equipment, allowing efficient identity verification in various environments. The Application can sync with border management systems upon request by Member States.
