Needs to do better

Overall good app, but misses the mark on some key areas. Like History. Archived vials don’t show up in your history, but they should! Otherwise if you want to see your true history you gotta unarchive all your past vials and that leads to a huge mess when trying to add a past dose. This app also missed the mark on Analytics. Pie charts don’t mean squat. Instead tell me stuff like mg per week / month of a peptide… or cycle data, etc

Response from developer

Thanks for the detailed and thoughtful feedback — this is exactly the kind of input that helps improve PeptideJournal. You’re absolutely right about History. Archived vials should still appear in historical dose entries, and that behavior has now been fixed. History will now always reflect all logged doses, regardless of vial status, without requiring unarchiving. You also called out Analytics, and I agree with you there as well. I’m actively working on expanding this beyond visual charts to include more actionable data, such as mg per week / month, cycle-based summaries, and other usage metrics that are actually useful for tracking protocols. These updates are currently being prepared for TestFlight, and I’d love to invite you to test the upcoming build if you’re interested. If you’d like early access or have additional suggestions, feel free to reach out directly at support@mypeptidejournal.com Thanks again for taking the time to write this — feedback like yours directly shapes where the app goes next.

Malfunctioning App

Good layout but the app does not function. You can in one peptide and schedule it and it will show up 3 or 4 times in the schedule for the day it’s scheduled and there is no way to change it. It makes your scheduled dosing very confusing. I am going to delete the app hoping to reset it and I hope it works.

Response from developer

Thanks for reporting this — I’m sorry for the confusion here. In v1.1.4 it’s possible to accidentally create duplicate schedules if the save button is tapped multiple times (especially if the phone is lagging). You can remove extras by swiping left on a schedule and tapping Delete. I’m releasing an update that prevents duplicate schedule creation and makes editing/deleting more obvious. If you reinstall and still see this, please contact me through the app’s support link with your device model + iOS version and I’ll help immediately.

EASE OF MIND

Great for keeping all research doses logged, and inventory tracked. Easy to use. Great customization for all vial details such as batch numbers, lot codes, brand, etc.

Inventory tracker is great! Really like the reminders that automatically notifies when running low. Can set custom inventory level trackers!

Highly recommend for researchers who enjoy staying organized.

Features not present

I tried sending a message about these shortcomings several days ago, no reply. There is no way to set a reminder for more than one day. No way to input a protocol of any sort. Single day reminders are useless. Even the free app Injectly can save a reminder for specific days of the week. Simply put, the list of features does not match what is actually built into the app. I will be deleting and taking the $5 loss as a lesson.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to leave detailed feedback — I appreciate you calling this out. You were absolutely right at the time: multi-day and repeating scheduling was not fully implemented in that early version. Since then, PeptideJournal has been updated to include flexible scheduling, including multi-day, weekly, and custom repeat patterns designed for real peptide protocols. The app continues to evolve based directly on user feedback like this, and I’m committed to keeping the feature set aligned with what’s clearly communicated on the App Store. I appreciate you giving PeptideJournal a try, and I hope future updates better reflect the direction you were looking for.

Easy to navigate

Makes it easy to convert measurements for dosages. I’ve always struggled finding the right dosages according to my weight, and this app does it all for you. There is also a calendar that you can track and set reminder alarms. This app is a perfect fit for my everyday use.

Response from developer

Thanks for the great feedback. I’m glad the calculator and reminder features are making things easier for your routine — that’s exactly what I hoped the app would do.
