Torn…want to like it but…
Secondly, not enough ways to gain coin. Even if you max everything out, you can’t be coin positive at the end of the day. So you consistently have less and less coin, then you get discouraged because even though you play a ton, you never get to unlock things in the game because they are all gated behind coins.
The developer needs to find a way to have people steadily make progress or else people will just lose coins until they quit.
For instance, I had almost a million but have been on a losing streak and now might eventually have zero coins and at that point, I’ll have no reason to olay because I’ll never get to unlock anything since they require hundreds of thousands of coins to unlock.

Thanks for taking the time to write this honestly — feedback like yours is how the app gets better. You're right: removing hints was a mistake on my part. They're back in the latest update, and I sent 50 hints, 50 gems, and 500 gold to your mailbox to help cover what you'd already bought. I also hear you on the coin grind. We just rolled out VP Floor — machines you can level up that produce a steady flow of gold per hour — plus player raids, both aimed at making progression feel possible. I hope you'll give it another look.

Latest update a bust
UPDATE: went for 4.5 to 2 star. Game is great and beautiful and strategy and EV calculators are awesome BUT…Most recent update took away hints…the only thing worth buying. I had couple hundred bought and they took it away and gave me nothing for it. It was replaced with extra time which is useless. If I don’t know the correct play, having an extra minute or two to stare at the damn screen does nothing. There are teams and leaderboards but now without hints, no reason to buy things to try and stay high on them. Playing games with house edge means you’ll always eventually lose all your coins…no way to purchase them ensures that trying to level up your team(which requires coins) or hit top leaderboards will always be futile unless you’re lucky enough to hit some big hands early. Download it to learn basic strategy for a variety of games but don’t subscribe monthly or yearly like I did. Waste of time and money.
